True, gas is more but ...

ppl like to complain about the price of gasoline, I'm no exception but (as Jim Mackenzie of Motoring mentioned) don't see too many griping about the cost of bottled water they buy at the same gasbar ... what is it now, about a buck for 1/2 liter??

Just think of the cost involved in 'refining' water

open the tap and fill last time I checked ;)

Wonder what the price of gas is in Europe?

BTW BRAD...ARE THEY STILL ON STRIKE IN B.C. ??????<<<<
Last I heard they were closer to settling but I don't really know for sure. The strike wouldn't affect me (and many others) much because lots of the micro breweries benefited in getting unexpected exposure thus increased sales. Boost for the little guys is a good thing, I prefer their beer to Molson or Labatts anyway.

ps. our gas was 88.9c/L yesterday

My Two Cents Worth.....

Hi folks,

I was just reading your comments and how hurtfully valid they are.....! Here in the states we are experiencing $2.05 a gallon in Ohio. If you have any of these petrol stations, you might be interested in humping the Mid-East Oil Cartel and do a bit for your country!
Here are a few large companies that do not import Middle Eastern Oil:

Citgo..............0 barrels
Sunoco...........0 barrels
Conoco...........0 barrels
Sinclair............0 barrels
BP/Phillips.......0 barrels
Hess...............0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each company or corporation is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.
I for one, am willing to pay some extra cash if it will loosen the stranglehold of these fuel producing nations belonging to the Mid-Eastern Oil Cartel(OPEC). If enough drivers put their money in other companies that don't import from the Cartel countrys, it will be a very dire warning to these nations that goes like this........... "Take your oil and shove it...."

This is directly the results of the war in Iraq....Bush (the puppet) knew it from the start and so did I....Every war has a price...Funny to notice though that the people preaching war and liberty at the same time are mostly tools used by big oil companies that are responsables for the justification of these high prices at the pump once more and also resulting in some wild massacres and tortures...and that only the real pull stringers are the ones making most profits out of this that has nothing to do with freedom or moral of any kind...They continue to pull the strings for a political leader of their choice to be in power...They dictate to him what they really want...
In a subtle way...When you think about it...They are not much different from Saddam that they will judge for crimes against humanity..Aren't they often using the same techniques to achieve their goals??? I always find it hard to swallow when innocents are killed in the name of human rights..peace and freedom...But what the heck...Who can put a winner of any war on trial?
Is Iraq liberated from abuses from dictators??? Is-it???Is order restored in there?? Can we say today that Iraq is better now than what it was before its people feeling free, safe and prosper???

Gas $$$$$ will go up even more.....They are trying to save the look of it...Iraq economy goes through gas production...and gas profits...
Aren't prices at the pump the biggest weapon of mass destruction found....so far to put Iraq back into an economic growth???????

When political popularity and economy is placed above humans rights and disregard human life itself...It makes me sick.... So rejoice all of you...It is a small price for us to pay at the pump compared to what some are paying elsewhere...

I agree....Ban OPEC :agree: :thumb:
Opec doesn't control the prices at the pump pals....Big oil companies world wide are controlling these...In fact Opec is another puppet used by them....Got to find a guilty party to put the blame on....Opec is a natural target for the ignorant people...Dig deeper ..you will see who really controls the price and the production of oil worlwide...

You could spill your drink!
And when you get rid of your car..old wreck...don't give it up with a full tank of gas...if they offer you 50$ for it...argue that your tank worth more than that...or ask for a drink in exchange... :agree: :agree2: :D

Boycott Corner Stores

Corner stores may not be responsible for the surge in gas prices. Yet, they sell gasoline and lottery tickets. We can't stop buying gasoline from them, because it is essential. Yet, we can boycott buying lottery tickets from corner stores which do sell gasoline. Maybe they will get the message. Either you do something to lower your gas prices or else lose our lottery business. People, who don't buy lottery tickets will be glad to see us take a stand.
