I figured I would try and start off some general discussions as it seems this place is quiet.

Just wondering if anyone is following the qualifiers and the 2006 world cup, and what teams are you cheering for.

my husband likes to watch sometimes. i think it is too boring.

Yeah that was kind of a dissapontment. Hope you either loose 2 mreo qualifying games or loose one to Poland if we win our other 2.
Then I will be happy.

humm well well well what's going on, England needs to win the next 2 to take group 6's top spot. A loss or Tie in either one and Polska (Poland) gets to stay on top.

What happened to England vs N. Ireland today wow they just basically fell apart.

And saturday barely beating Wales????

Ohh well Polska has had their bad days too, they where working Austria in the first half 2-0 on saturday and then let them slip in to make it a final 3-2 Polska.

Well that's sports for ya right?

I don't mean to sound like a dick I am just excited for my birth country's football team. And we are 4th or 5 I believe in total goals for Europe. :D

Anyways I am out for now. Hope England beats Austria on 08-Oct-05, at least then our game will be a big deal and Austria won't get any more points pretty much assuring the winner and looser of the Polska VS England a qualification.

Hi kosteczki , yeah England were auful to put it mildley.........They're all paid too much & don't play with enough passion when they put on an England shirt !

I know about that, similar thing was going on with Polska in the late 70's / 80's they did well for that time but right afterwards too much money not enough care. Until this new generation that has been coming back.

All right so it's down to the last game to decide who is group 6 leader. But it's awesome both England and Polska are all ready qualified.

Now with that preasure off their backs I think this is going to be a very good game for England and Polska.

Hi kosteczki , totally agree with you.......Should be a good game on wednesday , glad we've already qualified , otherwise it would have been a very nervous 90 mins for us...........We have to improve dramaticaly , or we won't reach the knockout stages in Germany

:D On a serious note , if we both show that same commitment
who knows , come next July .
Been down to Bramall Lane today , paid £50 for two tickets to see my club (Sheffield Utd) take on Wolves on Saturday......The cost of going to a game is going through the roof!!!........A treat for my son , anyway take care......All the best , Phil :)

Football here sucks and the cost of going to Europe to watch a game is just too much right now but myabe I can win the lotto lol.

ANyways yeah I was just keeping track of whats going on in the game I leave for 2 minutes and you took the lead heh, ohh well. AT least we are both in.
