Do 2 votes make a poll?

Why have the same pole in two places...and this should be in the anything goes section...
Maybe we should have a poll to see who would like to see an end to these useless polls ... bet you see many more responses than the usual 0-2 ... I'd certainly vote on that!!

Well, I call it as I see it.

Without commenting on the poll questions themselves, have a quick glance as I did ... you've posted what ... about 12 polls so far? Taking away the needless duplicates or triplicates there were maybe 7, garnering an avg response of about 6 votes per poll ( the first poll got the most btw, it's been down-hill since then, steep slope too :D ).

You think that's sufficient data from which to form a meaningfull conclusion? I don't ... polls are dicey at best even with a large number of participants ... and considering the miniscule response you're getting so far I wish you good luck with future polling.

One other aspect to consider: with the fairly high-traffic on this BB the little response you did get should tell you something as well ... nuffced?

Now to make this really worth your time (3 cents?) ... I also agree with LoveLotto that there's no need for double posting (I've said this bfr) and that Anything Goes section is a better place for this.

I still think that you should have a poll to end all your polls

Well the polls are here to stay. You, and others, can vote your disdain by, well, not voting.

Admittedly I am a new member to this board.

Have you never had polls before?

Is this an unfriendly, close-knit elitist community where free-speech is admonished?........(there is a Stephen Harper vote option you know)

Your opinion is a fallacy of composition.......and I'll mail you 3 cents to get lost.

Hmmm ... now my line of reasoning is fallacious in your opinion ... ok let's leave it at that.

Is it safe to assume you don't agree much with Harper? :D ... that's ok too ... which could lead to another assumption that you are a defender of democracy (supporting free speech and all that). So pls note that at least 3 members have vocalized their views about your poll placement (and over-saturation).

I already told you where I think you can put it, however a slim majority feels 'Anything Goes' will do for now.

And I know my way around this board little better than you think, so save your 3 cents ... you may need them for a ticket out yet.

If anything, the polls can spur some great conversations. Certainly better than the mundane blah blah blah, rah rah rah back-slapping I've read in other forums.

Re: Posting in multiple forums - It is, in itself a poll of where people browse and where they respond. Notice that none of the results among the like polls are congruent.

Lastly, who cares if a moron like myself is posting polls for his own enjoyment....much like you participate in forum discussions, that's your bag.

Some people enjoy them and respond, some people ignore them, some people vocalize their disagreement......or you can be like ChrisJ who kindly responds on some polls and posts that he/she hates them on others.

Hmmm ....

There hasn't been a poll here in years but look around now!!

Tango (Tango see Tango do?), Idjit (does it sounds like digit or ... ?), lazy bum (self-proclaimed moron?)
and LottoMagic (well, he's just looking for a busy place to advertize)

WAKE UP members!! We are being invaded by the POLL PEOPLE!! :crap:

"If you're not like (with) us you're negative so we'll pollarize you ...
We need a poll to know what you think ...
We will lead you out of congruity ...
We won't have a meaningful discussion without a "yes" or "no" or a multiple-choice answer ...
yaddy yadda ..."

Might as well call this BB the Lotto649.Poll.Site now :dang:
How many more pollsters will pop outa the woodwork??? :erm:
Food for thought: does lazy bum=Tango=Idjit=??? :notme:

stick a pole[sic] in me ... I'm done!

Think we're being too hard-nosed?

Ok, I'll play along ... here's my informal (yet related) poll:

When you eat your Smarties, do you:

1. eat the red-ones last ?
2. suck them very slowly ?
3. crunch them very fast ?

Tailored follow-up:

Number your Smarties from 1 to 47,
shake the box vigorously,
then with your eyes closed select 7 Smarties to play in the next draw ...
but don't crunch the selected Smarties if you wish to play more lines!!

Now I'm really done ... :p:
