Anybody interested in an Ont 649 discussion? Karnac? Anybody?
:wavey:

Mirage ,

I'm open to any lottery discussion you may wish to discuss. I have all lottery stats, as do you ....I have posted a few items in the ON49 section , but the response is lukewarm at best, although George does have a preference for this lotto. With 649 I may post different stats thru the the course of the week which is why sometimes my stats info differs from my actual picks. My actual picks are usually done in an hour and posted early....and I try never to second guess, unless I come across something thats too important to leave out....With ON49 I can cover far more combos at .50 a crack and 4# is a guaranteed $50.....look at last nights' crummy payout for 4# in 649. Unless there's high numbers drawn (35-49) these payouts are #%&$# lousy at $2 a pop. The biggest stigma with ON 49 is that they don't announce the numbers on the radio.....if they did more tickets would be sold each week...even though the winning numbers are available online people avoid this lottery because "They can't get the numbers" on the night of the draw. I'll do a quick analysis and post a few goodies in the ON49 section after I do my 649 thing.

Consider this... ...they keep a lower profile with the better choice Ontario 49 to sucker you into the one they want you to play 6/49... ...don't fall for it like the general public does. Since the price change, 6/49 has never been the same. Those who have continued to play 6/49 have cut down on the number of sets played so the likelyhood of hitting well has diminished for that fact alone.

If you play 60 lines in 6/49 it costs $120. 60 lines in Ontario 49 costs $30. Suppose you get one 4 hitter in each... ...6/49 is a loss of $60... ...Ontario 49 is a profit of $20 for the same size of wheel played. Is a $1M prize not big enough:notme:?

I'll return to posting a 6/49 report eventually. This does not mean I will play it anymore. Just one line for $2 is all they will get from me:D.

Regards,
George:)

Could you give me some tip on the Ontario 49 lottery you were saying. I might want to try my luck on that instead and see if I can snug some money like you.

Thanks

Well, its no big secret... ...there is not much to tell beyond the obvious. Being able to playing more sets for less cost gives you a better chance to win something.

One point/tip is this... ...there have been 770 draws in Ontario 49 so far and the number of times there were 4 repeaters has been higher in percentage than 6/49.

George:)

Thank you very much GSobier. I appreciate every bit of information from you.

You are one of the few notables here and have a very good reputation for being exactly "right on the money".

Thanks again and I would appreciate any tips you have come my way and sorry to put you in this situation. I will understand if you decide otherwise. They are desperate.

*SIGH* I wished some guys (especially the idiot boatman and garbageboy) would be like you. *SIGH*

Thanks for the advice Dennis. I will follow up with Snides.

Eh? what did I get volunteered to do? :)

On/49 and Cdn 6/49 are virtually the same.. Yes there are some moderate differences between the two, but from my experience the same theories work quite well in both. I've got all these programs I've written for myself to use, and they are interchangeable between the two lottos.

The biggest advantage is of course the price. I usually play 20 lines for $10 each draw, though I have skipped a few in the past. Some I wish I hadn't because I think I would have had a good chance for a good return, but now that my health should continually improve I should be able to play every draw.

Like George was saying, the payouts can be better in On/49 than 6/49. My most recent win was $125 from only spending $10, 2 - 4# wins and 5- 3# wins. The same on 6/49 would have cost $40 and paid (i'm guessing) $170, so $115 profit or $130 profit, not much of a difference..

Snides,

I was just responding to Dennis' suggestion. I was just going to tentatively feel you out as to how you felt about this first. I wouldn't presume or assume anything - maybe you feel most comfortable going it alone, of course that's really understandable.
I donno you must have read maybe the whole thread or where this as an idea possibility, only, came from? Of course the two lottos are same in principle - I don't know about virtually - anyway, I personally find too expensive to play more than say 10 or 15 lines per draw on National 649 and so that doesn't get me very far. On the other hand if I do hit the payout's greater. But over the long term I can't really afford that potential for loss or risk. Therefore Ont 649 better solution for me, I'm deciding, thou
'xpect that will be tempted to play national at least one or two lines (or more) in addition.
To tryin make this overly long story short it was not just you, it was a proposal to put somemor heads together to work at the provincial 649. Just that not necessarily directed 'specially at you.
Whaddya think? I should forwarn y'all that there are some caveats involved 1) we would be just a small group so participation maybe be inconsistent, depending on whadelse is goin' on in our personal lives, etc, etc, plus 2)I work mostly from personal experience and intuition, so that might be frustrating to those who are wanting to discuss from a logical numbers point of view, primarily. There are many who don't want to discuss but just post their numbers. You have an edge Snides with regard to being bright and smarts re numbers/logic/computers, etc, for sure, but I'm better than average when it comes to picking numbers, at least sometimes, so the occasional comment from me might be useful? I will copy subject matter in this as new thread in provincial section as well....:dizzy: :)

Ok, working my way back through this thread from the end to the beginning, now I see Karnac posted a reply to me..

Karnac,
I posted the reply Snides last post on this thread first, so some comments in that one might apply to you also. Interesting that On 649 doesn't get much coverage, yet obviously quite a few in Ont are aware of it, because does get significant players. I agree with George and even yourself(?) that at 50 cents a line its a good deal, for 4 hits in a line especially but the 3rd tier prize sucks, and if we all hit the $1 million then we'd have to share the jackpot, but I guess that's OK. Sounds like you might be up for it then? :) See you in provincial lottery section for any further discussion. Thanks!
Anybody, else? Maggie, for example? - you live in Ontario, I think we even live in the same city.

Hi Mirage,

My ON49 play is limited to QP's mainly, I pick up a couple of dollars worth each draw and that's about it. The ON49 was the one game that I never really got into, but, I do look forward to reading any discussions you all might have.

Hey, who knows, we may even be in the same neighborhood? :)

There are many others here from Ontario... ...Beaker is one of them... ...there is another I know about who will have to speak for themself, I can't. One of the biggest problems switching to Ontario 49 from 6/49 is learning about the quirks in Ontario 49.

Being familiar with 6/49 could help to play it better as justification to continue. The cost alone however, can also justify the change. A choice need to be made like you have.

Regards,
George:)

QP's only because I've never kept track of ON49, and my main interest was always the CAN 6/49.

Yup, I'm familiar with Old South, (have friends that lived on Belgrave) I'm NE.

Why Can 6/49 especially?

I kinda grew up in Old South. Belgrave well known to me.
