hi GillesD

Need your help with this hits and skips chart with excel.

Let say on Sheet1 I have the latest 100 draws. On Sheet2 I would like to see the hits and skips pattern for each numbers, see example below:

#1 - 1 12 7 2 0 11 3 6 3 4 1 2
#2 - 5 1 6 4 17 1 12 2 0 5 1 4
#3 - 3 1 6 0 4 0 5 8 2 9 4
.
.
.

Do you have the formula for this?

Thanks,

I could probably help you but I need to fully understand what you want

A - Do you always have only the last 100 draws on Sheet1?

B - Is the output you want on Sheet2 something like this:
#01 - 1 12 7 2 0 11 3 6 3 4 1 2 ...
#02 - 5 1 6 4 17 1 5 1 4 ...
...
#48 - 5 12 0 3 0 10 17 ...
#49 - 40 0 0 0 25 ...

where in the first column, each number (01 to 49) is listed and in following columns, the numbers give the skips with a 0 representing a number repeating itself in succesive draws. Does the first number (like the 40 for #49) represents the current skip number?

C - If not obtained through formulas, would a macro be ok? More likely easier this way but I have not looked at this closely.

hi GillesD,

Yes, only 100 lastest draws. But it possible to increase to lastest 200 draws?

B - Is the output you want on Sheet2 something like this:
#01 - 1 12 7 2 0 11 3 6 3 4 1 2 ...

Yes, Colunm A is the number (from 1 to 39), and the following columns are the skips. Examples for #1 above skip one draw ago, and hit 12 draws before that....

C - If not obtained through formulas, would a macro be ok? More likely easier this way but I have not looked at this closely.

May be formulas is best, but if you use macro can you show how to modify the codes to use on other lotto games also, like 5/35, 5/39 and 6/49?, I am sure many users would like to use this chart too.

Thanks again for you time.

hey Da88,

you could always search this site for GillesD, that will spit up some of his informative posts from the past...just reverse engineer his examples to make your spreadsheet do what you want.

hi blitzed,

I did search this site and google around but found nothing similar where I could modify the formulas to meet my requirement.

If you know how to to do this in excel would love to hear from you.

Thanks,

hiya Da88,

I have a bunch of old spreadsheets I made here:
http://crazynuts.hollosite.com/lottery_spreadsheets/

check out the 649 lotto excel spreadsheet: 649_Lottery.zip

perhaps you can reverse engineer that, cobble in a skip counter to your liking.

I prefer vertical hit & skip matrixes, for a quick visual to see how the draws are trickling out...to get an idea of where the next ball may drop.
