...having 4 repeaters is very rare so most players would not play anything anticipating such an event... ...its a real big long shot because there were less than 5 of these in more than 2,000 draws for 6/49 looking at just regular numbers...

An ordinary lottery fan may play a few tickets and that's it, mostly dreaming about some sort of a good win. In my opinion even a few or several tens are just a few tickets regarding the odds. That doesn’t mean all players are the ordinary ones. If someone with an overload of money tosses a few thousands of tickets, that will probably be solidly secured with a few hundreds of tickets regarding some "unexpected" draws. I believe this last "unexpected" draw had more 4/6 winners than the previous "expected" one .
In my opinion , from this reason an ordinary lottey fan has a pretty slim chances having quite narrow spaces for any solid backups because of the ticket prices ...

...ever since the price change, either Keno or your Regional game is where you should play... ...6/49 is simply not a good one to play anymore...

...its debatable there were more 4 numbers winne for specific reasons... ...the most elementary way to play is using the 7 numbers from the last draw... ...it was darn close to 5+... ...don't expect something like this again for a long time...

Well, my regional game has computer generated draws. They say their computer is apsolutelly independent and not connected to any networks. Also draws are checked for true randomness regularly by a qualified outside guys or such, so probably will try it. It is $1/ticket game, which is not that bad.
About Keno....don't know how many possible combinations are there...a zillion?

...Keno is a different kind of "animal" where there is a bit of forgiveness because 20 numbers are drawn... ...you choose how many numbers you intend to select for a match... ...there are some players like Charles2 and Karnac who post how they are doing... ...I think one of the stategies is dealing with repeaters...

...yes, you poor soles in BC have it rough... ...Alberta gets a stupid Quick Pick added to every set played, not as good too... ...us players farther east are more fortunate... ...50 cents and NO QUICK PICK... ...Stoopid 7 is another story:dang:...

I looked at your question and started with an idea for a macro but soon determined that formulas could be another mean to get the same information.

I started working on it but after passing so much time calcultating for the 6-0-0-0-0-0, I had to work. But it appears you beat me to it.

As far as your question on A2 vs A1, look near the bottom of the macro where I transfer the data in a spreadsheet (the FOR ... NEXT loop). With A1 being selected, I used the ActiveCell.Offset to list the result with the variable I indicating the number of lines to go down for each listing.

...come on down:D...

Well, I'm in lottery waters for a quite few years...and will not be satisfied without seeing a 5 +B check at least. At 50 cents/ticket I would try for a JP at least once monthly..and try doesn't mean a few tickets sometimes.:agree: ...of course if that lottery clearly states there aren't any networks and that stuff if it has some computer generated draws...

Sometimes I think how those New Zealand and Australian guys are pretty lucky...their economy is probably at same level as here, but they have some 6/40 lotteries or such at $1/ tickets...plus unlimited number of sunny days additionally..

Huh, it went out of topic a bit too much. It's not my fault :D. I was just tottaly surprised that even you Gsobier started to say 6/49 is simply not a good one to play anymore. It is about the same type of surprise as if you said you started to prefer MS programs ( and Apple – Mac additionally now :D). Well, I have and like both of them but don't think you might trade that IBM stuff of yours...

Try 55c per play, pick 6 from 45 with 2 Bonus Numbers, Double Up on all prizes except 6 and 5 + Bonus for slightly more, minimum payouts for the lower prizes of around double what I see elsewhere and the most important bit - you win a million it's all yours - no tax at all.

Regards
Colin

Well, if I move there one day will ask you which draws you will not play, so then I will have some fair chances to get that one million in full

BTW, one day I might send you an e-mail if you are interested in sharing some strategies that might work..and might not, though:rolleyes: ..
