El Gordo International Lotto

has anyone ever played the El Gordo international lottery held in Spain annually?

I noticed an ad in a UK paper while I was in London and the odds are pretty good given that only 80 000 tickets are sold world wide and the top prize is something incredible at 2.5 euros i think.

I'm thinking about getting a few tickets!

I have seen Conflicting Stories ( Google ) in Regard to the "El Gordo" International Lottery. The General Opinion Appears to be that it is a Scam. Does Anyone Know Any Different?.
Have you Managed to Find Out Any More Details.

All the Best.

El Gordo is also a proper lottery, called "El Gordo de la Primitiva".
You need to pick 5 numbers from 1 to 54 and 1 key number from 0 to 9.
Draws are on Sundays and the Jackpot reaches millions of Euros.

I got a free online tool to get unique lottery combinations here: http://www.liveemerald.com/elgordo

I thought El Gordo was once a year, more like a holiday in Spain...tickets are expense, but lotsa people buy in for a shot...sounds more like a raffle.

El Gordo is 1 in 31.6 million? I'd play that over other big lotteries such as:
MegaMillions 1 in 175,711,536 har har!

Hello blingy;

As far as I know, El Gorda is not a lotto game, it's a paper lottery with the smart odds of 1 in 8. Little bit costlier compared to lotto games. Once I played and further abandoned by FEMA.

Odds are indeed 1 in 31.6 millions :)
well, whatever are odds in one game in my opinion is ok if there are many good quality games available at same place, at various ticket prices and various odds, so a player can choose.
don't know much about that game, but usually about quality and variety of games offered in some area I would compare to a really good example considering variety of odds, good prizes and ticket prices, like http://www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au/index.php ....:agree:
