PAB, anxious provided the detailed stats from CoverMaster for predicting 5 from 18 numbers correctly, for your wheel ... or put another way "if5", sorted by Win Value from lowest to highest (I cleaned them up for ease of viewing). CM can do that for hits from 3 to 7, this is the "if5" scenario only.

The minimum "if5" Win is 1 (one) 3 number prize, chance of that happening is 19.04762% ... but there's a better chance of winning at least 2 (two) 3 number prizes at 30.25210% ... and so on.

I'm sure you can follow through on the rest.

Thanks for cleaning up the report Brad.
The reason i put this report up was to hopefully stir a discussion about wheels evaluation in general and what to look for in a particular design before deciding it is worth playing..

For example, does the above "if4"-25.21% and "if5"-0,84% make this design worth-while playing?
What should one look most in a certain design (among all similar designs) before saying "oh this is the one to play"?

Folks, this is absolutely "the best" 18-number in 12 ticket 3 if 5 wheel available.

It was "optimized" by Nick Koutras several years ago.

Compare the detailed results in Covermaster vs a standard 18-number in
12 ticket 3 if 5 wheel:

Both wheels produce identical guarantees...but the OPTIMIZED version
produces higher win percentages(i.e. in the case of 5 Correct Numbers,
Nicks wheel guarantees "only one" 3/6 ticket in 19.04% of all cases-vs
26.89% for the Standard Wheel).

Thats the whole point of "wheel optimization".


A great, great budget wheel for 6/49 Lotto.

Hi,

In my Lottery, 6/49, money worth talking about come if you guess at least 5 numbers and above. So, in both Optimized and Standard wheels presented above, i look at the "if5" case..

So, in the "if5" case above both Optimized and Standard wheels will give me a 5-number win 0.84% of the time.. This is equal to never??

Therefore, i d be disinclined to play this wheel cuz it be waste of time and money..

I am sorry, maybe i read this the wrong way..
