Consecutive Numbers

Hi PAB

I now know from your previous answers to my questions, that in a 5/50 draw (2,118,760 combinations) there are 748,006 combinations with a Lowest Delta of 01, i.e 35.30%.

Purely out of curiosity, I should like to know:

(i) what is the percentage of the 13,983,816 combinations in a 6/49 draw which have a Lowest Delta of 01; and

(ii) what is the percentage of the 85,900,584 combinations in a 7/49 draw which have a Lowest Delta of 01.

Can you help?

Thanks,

Maureen

Welcome back :thumb: !

Here is the information you have requested.

649 Lotto
Lowest Delta 01 = 6,924,764 combinations which is 49.52%.

749 Lotto
Lowest Delta 01 = 53,676,470 combinations which is 62.49%.

I hope this helps!

PAB

Hi Maureen,

I would just like to point out that the information given above is for the scenario and parameters for finding the Lowest Delta within each combination and is not really Consecutives in the true sense of what Consecutives are or how they are calculated and presented.
I just thought I would clarify this for those that read this thread.

Thanks, PAB!

I am finding this - and all the other statistical information you have provided me with - to be very interesting.

Thanks also for the welcome back. I have been so busy this week "mulling over" all the data you have given me.

Best wishes

Maureen

Oops.

It seems that I have again been a little careless with my terminology.

But I am sure that you have given me exactly what I was looking for, namely those combinations with a Lowest Delta of 01 contained within the line.

I will try harder in future to get the phraseology and nomenclature correct!

Thanks, PAB.

Not at all really because the data you have asked for is the Lowest Delta number within a combination which is obviously 1 and depicts a Consecutive number.

Exactly correct :agree: .

Have FUN!

I have just had a another look and it is showing 1,000 threads, that's very strange  !

Hi PAB

I have now found the 1000 on the list of forums on the Lotto Forums page.

The 999 is at the bottom of the Questions and Answers page, where it says "showing threads 1-25 of 999".
