Pick 3 is a very simple lottery to play. A little effort such as looking at past wins (from your lottery results page for that state or country or province); reading players comments; NOT using license plate or birthday numbers or holiday numbers---that sort of thingy! Listen to anyone and everyone for ideas and then form your own opinion out of the buckets of info that you will receive. Somewhere along the line you will become proficient with just about any lottery once you have nailed down a particular game.

Keep track of draw stats, how many times each digit is drawn in general, and also in which position 1, 2, or 3 it was drawn.
In CA pick3, it seems to usually take 25 to 35 draws until every digit has popped up at least once...sometimes you'll see a certain digit such as 8 for example has never popped up as say the third number. well, at 35 draws there is only a 2.5% chance of that happening, and less chance of 8 continuing ot avoid the 3rd poisition.

Most people suggest "straight & box" bets to increase odds of winning something. I only try "straight" bet for a while if I have a strong feeling that there are only 1 or 2 numbers due for each position. Sometimes I just go with box if I notice a handful of digits haven't been drawn in a long time.

Hmmm, your odds of winning that $100 in Powerball are roughly 1 in 15,000. However, your odds of winning $500-$600 or whatever for a Pick3 straight bet is even way better at 1 in 1,000!
I programmed a pick3 wheel lastnight...free webhosting can be a bit slow at times, but give it a shot, don't bet a wheel until you are confident about how it will perform over a certain period of time.

If your favorite 5 digits contain 3 unique digits drawn, you'd win a box bet for sure. you'd need 5 more picks to cover doubles of your numbers if you think they're due, such as 110 112 113 114 115...or 5 more to cover triples (but they are very rare so I wouldn't bother.)
Anyway, wheel numbers for fun to see if you WOULD have won, had you actually slapped down $10. Test it on other state lotteries and try to gauge how often bettin the $10 would have paid. I just wheeled 10 tickets to test the last 7 days, I would have hit a straight for $597 damn! or half that if I did box bets. $70 risk over a week for $597 or half that isn't bad. It'd be nice if it was a sure thing, too bad. That is where a system comes into play, to try to play the probabilities, and give you a better chance.

Hey, thanks. I'll give it a try. I pretty much try and do that with the Powerball. I look at the numbers over and over trying to figure out what is coming and what is due. That's how I have won $100.00
But in reality you can't predict the Powerball numbers anyway. But...you can take good guesses and keep playing certain sequence numbers, eventually it will pay off, or not...lol
But I have fun playing. I believe I will have the most fun with the Pick 3 though.
Last night I picked the #'s 336 and the numbers that came out were 331. So I came close, but no moolah.
Tonight I picked 859 753 573 499 476
See how close I get this time.

Whoa! You almost nailed that pick3 straight away! yup, ifya would have wheeled 0-9 down the first column of 10 picks and played 2nd & 3rd column with 31 as your favorite pair, you would have smacked that pick3 upside the head heh!
