CA Daily3/Daily4 Lottery

Yeah, back to back pairs are a nice setup. About 1/3 of the time one of the numbers will show up in the 3rd draw and another 25% of the time both of them will come out in the next draw. I wait until there have been a few that didn't pay off and then play the pair with every other number --8 tickets with a high probability of a payout. :santa:

the set I watched got skunked by 962...had 926 in my initial boildown.

optimally I like to boildown sets to one playslip, then if I actually play regularly it minimizes losses over time.

today a "straight/box" bet woulda paid $48 for only gettin the box-side, not bad at all...I'm not gonna throw $20 at the draw though, sometimes box-side pays as little as $20-$30, eve lastnight was $28.

perhaps the other sets will have better luck on the daily eves.

Hey blitzed,
There are other ways to nail your winner using the boil downs that you are good at. Go get 'em Tiger! You can do it...

hiya teufellj, thanks, good to seeya makin the rounds too:agree:

yup, I set out to boildown a set that is practical to play for a day or two.

$20 is a threshhold too high for me...most of the time I limit myself to $4, sometimes $10 up to $15...venturing into $20 territory leaves me on edge, and if I squeak out a box-side win by the seat of my pants, it may just break even or slightly above...I hate pari-mutuel payouts. I would rather drop $20 on say red 5 on roulette in a casino, at least they pay straight based upon the odds.

CA Daily4 30 OCT = :eek:5968 DRAW

my Daily3 picks :dog:stunk, but 956 could have been plucked from my initial boildown across 3 intervals...sometimes I make it a point to include oddball digits such as the 6&9 here:
@06 = 0-234-59
@16 = 027-45
@45 = 02-365

Yesterday I was thinking about an easy set of numbers to use on a savings account I opened. I was thinking 9099 among others. Funny how those numbers hit although I actually committed to some other sets. I played 6598 tonight for a S/B win of $127. I'll take it. Seems like you guys are hot when my luck cools and vice versa...

WTG, Mr_Rich!

Blitzed, we all (me too) gotta loosen up on our play tactics! Sometimes we squeek and pinch so hard on that "buffalo nickle" tryin to get enough fertilizer to sell for that next game play. Heha...

it was in my 6digit boildown for the 30th: 6,3,5,1,8,2

again shows probability sets are viable for a few days...I will have to try another boildown, accounting for doubles.

I stopped at the market last night to pick up a few things and get cash to buy some picks for the evenings draws. I went to the self-serve machine and slipped a twenty in the slot. I ran my Daily 3 slip and the machine comes back with "not enough money"...What??? I went to the customer service counter and was able to get my twenty back after the clerk made a count. I decided to just run my Daily 4 slip with some advance plays last night without any other slips. I just felt burned. I went to dinner and later when I checked the results I really got burned. 604 straight...my numbers. I lost out. It's happened before...

bummer! man that sucks...I've only missed box wins at times when lottery terminals have been down or playslip would not scan properly and a long line was forming so I told them to give up.

seriously nag CA lottery via email, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo Answers, etc. who knows, maybe the new governor can do something about modernizing the lottery, I nagged Arnold, but he musta been too busy lookin in the mirror practicing one-liners.

it is absurd that we live in CA home of Silicon Valley, yet we have to play lottery with 1970's technology, the old-fashioned paper scantron playslips. meanwhile I have friends around the world who can play their lottery online, even via text message on their cellphone, even in Third World countries. Embarrassing.

later, sorryya got hosed out of a straight!

I kept at it. I changed one set on my playslip and kept running it. I tend to stay with a set of numbers for a while. On Wed. midday draw I played 539 and hit a S/B win for $380. So it made up for the other night.

One of my aliases is Telco Tech. I retired over a year-and-a-half ago. I've seen the technology the Calif. lottery used in our switchrooms. They used analog data bridges for many years and moved up to ISDN lines. From that point they moved to another vendor with some kind of satellite technology that I don't know too much about. I like to make my bets about the same time I have my morning coffee. The danger is making it too easy. I'm not so sure about the online thing...

cool...nice hobby into retirement heh!

I think the real danger are indian casinos...my wife works at a bank, one branch she was at a lady literally had to sign over three of her four houses to the indians...and I believe she lost the last home in foreclosure...likewise other people can sometimes lose heaps daytrading or on foreign exchange.

yup, I would not trust CA to take the lottery online...governments always think they can do and run anything...they would probably get hacked right out of the starting gates, especially since they are fond of using Microsoft technologies.
