I should have elaborated more on my suggestion.
Mozilla is taking a huge spin on they development, they are going from being a monolithic one program does it all, to small specialized apps.
MozillaFirebird is the new name of the once called Phoenix browser, which is the Mozilla browser without any other apps. So it has all the functions of the browser but no email and other apps so it's a lot faster!!
It's the one I've been using for a while, I only revert back to IE when I need to, that means when some stupid site admin forgers to follow the estabelished standards and follows MS rules instead!
My best advice to you is choose a series of programs that do what you need and stick with them, only upgrade for security reasons or for some feature that you really really need! That way you keep things stable!
