No commitment to AW S7 just Qp's and some Pre-selected Combo 8 with a friend..We are doing fine (better than previous BC49) but not what we wish...
Just missed 5/7 by a hairline
maybe next time..

my local grocery got 5 / 7 a few weeks agao and he said his wife freaked out all she got was $100 or so for 5 numbers !!!! she split the winnings with a coworker.

That's sad ... a mere pittance for a 1:3,839 chance hit .
ON Keno has better odds, or even a two 4/6 hitter in ON49 at thou to one odds will pay the same, at 50c per line ...

The way it is for me, just a Super 7 Quick Pick for the chance at one of those stupid dumb luck hits is all $2 a week is all about... ...between the 100% chance I will never win there is my once a week, shot in the dark ticket (you never know), it could happen. Randal would be so proud of me.

The trouble with Super 7 is the 5 hitter prize, not even $200 stinks... ...should be more.

You also need to realize the average lottery player (most people) who get a Quick Pick anyway... ...so, if you just get Quick Picks and $2 gives you 3 chances at Super 7 and $2 only buys you only one line for the same price... ...many have decided to stop 6/49 period and just play Super 7. This is how I explain a large part of the declining sales.

The 6/49 games in Ontario are not compulsary Quick Pick so paying more attention to them makes more sense for us folks. Who knows, you guys playing KENO might pull something off... ...keep at it.

Getting 6/7 gets us more money than so-called cN49!!
But I can't even taste that elusive 5/7
Not ready to play strong AW 10 or so as I have been saving some money by not playing like b4
So I guess for now keep playing with whatever I get from freebies etc etc...

the lotto people make a billon $ of scratch games to take all free change one has then wonder why 649 is lossing money. it is easy to see why lotto's are run by gov. they screw everyone out of a decent wage yet expect you to spend what little you have left on lotto.

No one forces you to gamble and play the lotto, that is a choice you make, and how much you spend.

The problem with the way the 649 is now structured is a flaw in their thinking on payouts.
The lotto corp says people want a larger jackpot.
The larger jackpot, only benefits the winner(s),
The increased pot is subsidized by the remaining players, at an increase in ticket prices.
What they should have done is increase the prize payout for lower prizes.
Here is a case in point.
I used to buy the 8 number combo, for $28, if I got 3 numbers, I would get a $100 back.
Now the 8 number combo costs $56, and for those same 3 numbers, its still $100.
So I'm spending $56 to make $44, poor odds, if you ask me.
My prediction is the 649 will get revamped again.

The lotto corp was hoping more people would buy a QP when running into the convience store for some bread, milk or smokes, after all, who's going to miss a toonie from their change.
But by doing this, the have alienated the "REAL" lotto players who plunk down a great deal of cash, we are the ones that have cut back,

See thats the problem with society these days, people blame their misfortunes, or bad luck on others, never taking responsibility themselves, for their own actions.
If you want to be a winner you can be.
If you want to be a whiner, you will be. Its a proven fact, people who have a positive outlook in life, are generally successful people.
Those that have a negative outlook on things, are usually not as successful, in either their personal lives or their business ventures.
You can see it here on the board, the various different personalities.
I deal with many people all day long, each day, and I'd rather be surrounded by positive people, instead of negative people.
Sorry for going off on a tangent like that.
I was not taking aim at you Mar9ie, I was just making a point.

I was one of those Real Lotto Players and I now spend 4.00 per draw and that's it! Where as before I could have spent 15-25 per draw depending on the Jackpot amount. Can't afford to wheel anymore so I kinda gave that up.

I think they should all get pink slips and zero for severance pay.
Failure should not be rewarded.

The serious lotto player, spending the bucks got screwed, but the "I gotta stop and pick up some milk" players are only spending a toonie.

I think this survey they claim they did, was all a bunch of B.S.
They spend millions on advertising, why not advertise for people to submit feedback.
It all seems to me 4500 people spoke for me was all done in secret.
Somehow 4500 people speaking for about 10 million players does'nt seem right.
Come on lotto corp... do the right thing... admit you were wrong, and made a mistake, and fix what you srewed up. I challenge you!!!!

See, further prove, not only does the real player play, but they also will buy "extra tickets", but not any more.
This lotto caters only to the occasional player, any business, cannot not survive from the occasional customer.
