From the disclaimer below, it seems that version 7 is not free to the majority of users who utilizes the AVG free edition....

Karnac, are you using the paid version? Or is Version 7 actually free. Could you provide the link?

Ahhh ...I saw your late edit just before I responded .... It is free....your post referred to the premium feature version 6 and now 7.0. It still costs money. The free lower tier 7.0 is still free ...use the above link and click on "Free AVG" in the Oct 27. message to go to the download page.

Anyone using Mailwasher for spam control with AVG 7.0 , be advised that there is an issue with Mailwashers' bounce technology with AVG 7.0 that was not present with AVG6, or at least it never reared its' ugly head before. I did find the AVG user forum very helpful in sorting out the problem.
