Any tips for getting rid of numbers?

Way,Way back in the 90s...I have heard about a guy hitting 4 times in a lotto....But he was part of a large group of people paying and playing together...nevertheless I have heard of such a story ..I will try to find out that article ..I have seen this before if I find it ... I'll post it...It has been quite a while...It was in a former lotto magazine that doesn't exist anymore...At the time I didn't fall for it and I still have doubts about it but I can't tell for sure if it is untrue..
But what strikes me is that it did talk about a strategy involving positionning...
Nothing is impossible here...
I'll give this person the benefit of the doubt...

Basically the assumption is a time invariant model. Each draw has the same probability of the next or prior draw. But in order to reduce the number of variables, you may have to make some assumption. For each particular lotto scheme is always possible to devise a pattern that repeats cyclicaly. If you try to perform a Fourier series you can estimate the shape of various positions and eliminating those which appears to have reached the maximum frequency, you will end up with a minor universe. The routine is not complicated but it is necessary to perform a new forecast for each new draw. I have working with EXCEL and a lot of different add-ins, each one to perform an specific task.
I know is quite hard to believe my success, but the only reason I have saying that is to help anyone to be lucky.

Fourier Analisys... interesting! I don't recall trying that! A discrete series shouldn't be that hard to analise with Matlab and look for some cycles!

By the way lucky doesn't exist.

Our lottery system is pari-mutuel. If I win you are loosing. The Lotto Corporation always wins 50% of the whole bets and pays only 47% for the different prizes. You may win 100 times that does not affect the corporation. Only you may contribute to reduce or increase the net prize.

I have won ten times 6/6 since 1984 up today. I lost the times I won 5 numbers which is quite impressive amount, by doing what you call a empirical method. Also I had win many times in a 15/25 system, by applying the same method. Have you heard about neural network?

I'm almost certain that if one comes up with a method to consistently win in the lottery game the powers that be that run that game would be very upset! And would least try to make alot harder to win!
Off course if one is very discrete, one might get away with it quietly!

In order to maximise the chances of winning, a strategy for reducing the numbers has to include the possibilities of repeats from the previous draw AND no repeats from the previous draw.

I find, from my game history (6/44):

On over 30% of the draws this occurs:

Current draw
Draw -1 (No repeat OR 1 repeat) i.e. previous draw
Draw -2 (No repeat OR 1 repeat)
Draw -3 (No repeat OR 1 repeat)
Draw -4 (No repeat OR 1 repeat)
Draw -5 (No repeat OR 1 repeat)

This reduces the chances from 1 in 7m to (2.5m to 3.2m) when this occurs.

Sometimes this is true, to Draw -10, and beyond. In these cases, though less frequent, the chances further improve.


Can someone out there build on this observation. It needs a lot of work to turn it into a decent strategy.

Your post sums quite well what all the other post to rubronegro were. I think our friend from Brazil realized that his method and his winnings are much higher quality to anything else on this board.

He was probably looking for a two ways (give and receive) relationship instead of a one way (give and receive nothing) relationship. I am sure he detected the later much more likely to happen than the first. My guess is he realized the situation, got cold feet, and rebuked himself for saying too much already. I cannot blame him.

First, how to use Fourier series and Fourier transfer to estimate the lotto shape?

Secondly, how to define "current cycle" and how to find taht two
missing numbers?
