... but hey, take away all them spammers, trolls (real and/or in-house 
), multi-persona advertisers, etc. ... and let's not forget all them ali-asses as mentioned earlier and some who left in disgust .... how many remain then? 
Realistically though, I'd say most forums will have similar ratios of 'flighty' to 'real' members so the final count is a good measure of BB popularity IMO.
