The additional right side column should only be about 150 pixels wide whether it displays ads or more info or whatever.

Thanks for that screen resolution info. I checked out the view in IE 800x600.
You are absolutely right - makes me wanna puke - Nothing I hate more than having to scroll horizontally.
But I have to figure out what to do here. Forget the actual ads there, I don't know yet whether they should stay or not, but I would like a right hand or left side column for info and stuff because when the forums are viewed at a higher resolution it is too wide without at least one right or left column.
Up until a few years ago most web sites were built to show best at 800x600 but now the majority of surfers and browsers view web sites at a display width of 1024 or plus. The most common screen width has been 1024 for quite a while and 800x600 is now at less than 10% use.
The only thing that I can suggest is to set your display at a 1024 width (this will improve the view of many other sites as well) or just ignore the right side of the forums (it's just ads anyhow).

Same thing happened to me - zapped into Oz. Its those ads on the right. They have a thing called "active interstitials (recommended)". It really should read active irritants that do look like a browser hijacker. I have found the cease and desist button and turned it off so there should be no more beam me up scotty experiences.

Hi LT, the forum isn't resizing the pages to screen properly with the new right column advert, as you mentioned you had too much width before and I now have too little width, I assume it is most likely due to an incorrect size setting in the html or script.

Hi LT, one solution is to copy the current skin to a new skin, name it say 800x600, and remove the advert from the new skin.
Another solution is to copy the current skin to a new skin, name it say 800x600, keep the advert, set the page width so that the forum fits the browser window and the advert is hidden and only visible by scrolling to the right, ie. get it to look like this page : http://www.lotto649.ws/anything-goes/1618-intuitive-lotto.html
Second solution is doable and in your favour.
Setting my screen resolution higher is not an option for me as my left eye is slightly weak.

Not one to complain about them ads knowing LT needs some funds to pay for his bandwidth expenses ... but that psychedelic stroboscopic WINNERS/CONRATULATIONS sign is a bit hard on the eyes 
I know it's designed to attract attention, but me thinks the designers went overboard a tad and achieved the exact opposite ... it makes me wanna log out quick before I lose my cookies
