9-number combos for lotto

does anyone play those 9-number combinations that you can play with ontario 49 and 6/49 ? if so, anyone have any luck or is it just a money grab and they dont let your numbers out?

hmmm, combinations option is interesting....essentially it is a type of keynumbers wheel.

ok, I did a test scenario for the five-combo...say you do damn well and snare 3 draw numbers in your pool of 5...it looks like you'd have 4match three times for a total of $150, and 3match 21times for a total of $105. so your $22 bet would earn a total of $233.

ifya had 2 draw numbers in your 5, you'd be $2 short of breakin even.

I play the 8 combinations for Ont49 and Lottario. Recently I haven't had great success but I did hit 4/6 and numerous 3/6's. The Ont49 pays out the best because of the cost.

I'm a firm believer in the 5 number combination is a scam.
5 numbers cost $88 and they assure you 44 different combinations,while only 1 2 3 4 5 6 has 44 combinations and no other does.
here is the example they give us.
1 2 3 4 5 6
1 2 3 4 5 7
1 2 3 4 5 8
1 2 3 4 5 9
1 2 3 4 5 10
1 2 3 4 5 11
1 2 3 4 5 12 continuously until they reach
1 2 3 4 5 49
notice they had kept the chosen 5 numbers unchanged throughout the 44 combinations and that is fine and correct in this case.
but let us assume I wanted to buy those 5 numbers >{ 44 45 46 47 48 } how can they give me 44 different combinations while those 5 numbers are the very last set in our 6/49 and they can only be combined once with 49 as a 6th spot?
has any one noticed this ?

hopefull, in a X-number combination or wheel, you make sure that the X numbers chosen are present in all combinations.

So if you choose to have numbers 44, 45, 46, 47 and 48 in all combinations, then you will have those 5 numbers first with #1, then #2, then #3, ... up to #43, so you get 43 6-numbers combinations. To these combinations, you must add the last combination made of your 5 numbers (44-45-46-47-48) to which you mus add #49 to cover all 44 numbers not found in your chosen 5. So you end up with the 44 combinations costing you $88.

It seems to me that, using your method, you allways have consecutive numbers. Try calculating how many combinations you can come up with the following 5 numbers : 9, 13, 27, 32 and 40. If you do not come up with 44 combinations, you missed one or more.

that is not how the OLG does it GillesD,they are supposed to give you your 6th number only keeping your chosen 5 intact,unchanged,unaltered with throughout your 44 combinations.
and only 1 through 5 has 44 combinations and no other set does.
therefor the 5 number is a scam.

This is taken directly from the OLG site for Lotto 6/49 combos:

Play intructions
1 - On the Selection Slip*, choose the game(s) you want to play: LOTTO 6/49 and/or ONTARIO 49.
2 - Mark your number selections from 1 to 49 for the Combination Play you want - 5, 7, 8 or 9 numbers. These numbers will automatically be arranged into all possible sets of six numbers.
3 - You will receive a single ticket from the retailer that will only show the numbers you have chosen. All possible number combinations, however, will be recorded in the central computer.

So if you chose the 5-number combo and pick numbers 9, 13, 27, 32 and for your numbers, you will receive a ticket with those 5 numbers and which will then be combined with remaining numbers into "all possible sets of six numbers".

These sets are respectively:
01-09-13-27-32-40
… to …
08-09-13-27-32-40
then,
09-10-13-27-32-40
… to …
09-12-13-27-32-40
then,
09-13-14-27-32-40
… to …
09-13-26-27-32-40
then,
09-13-27-28-32-40

So if you write them all and count them, you will get your 44 combinations, all with your 5 numbers present in each and every one.

I do not know why but you are reluctant to and refuse to incorporate any number smaller than the smalllest chosen number or any number within your chosen numbers, adding only any remaining numbers larger than your highest chosen number.

Does than mean that if you choose 1, 13, 25, 37 and 49 as your chosen numbers, then there are no other possibility for a 6-number combination?

That's your interpretation.

But basically you supply 5 numbers and the computer generates all possible combinations with those by adding any number from 1 to 49 that is still not chosen. And the last number (not in sequence but after the 5 you choose) can be in any position.

To resolve this, go to any retailer and ask for a Lotto 6/49 5-number combo and choose 1, 13, 25, 37 and 49 as your number. Be ready to pay out $88 for your 44 selections that will be printed. May be you should try it out in the Ontario Lotto, it cost you less. Or simply ask the question to the retailer or OLG directly.

maybe I analyze things differently than you do.
I am following their example,and according to it,the 5 numbers chosen stayed the same throughout the 44 combinations,unchanged,they only supplied the 6th spot.that is what I see in front of my eyes.
sorry but you did not convince me.
I affirm once again { the 5 number combo is a scam}
