Hi GillesD,
That is an Interesting Concept. I Like the Way you have Managed to Reduce the Total Combinations Even Further. I would be Interested in Seeing the Macro if that is OK with you. At the End of the Day, it is ALL About Reducing the Total Number of Combinations while STILL Keeping the Jackpot Numbers Alive.
I Use a Percentage Deviation ( Variance ) Method on Minimum & Maximum Values of Criteria to Date. Basically what I Mean is, if for Example we Use the Total Minimum & Maximum Sum of ALL 6 Numbers in a Combination for ALL Draws to Date, I then Apply the Percentage Deviation ( Variance ) Method on those Two Values of say 25%. I do this to Exclude the Minimum & Maximum Sum(s) that are Beyond the Normal.
If I Apply my Method to the Above Mentioned, if the Minimum Sum Value for ALL 6 Numbers was say 59, Applying the Percentage Deviation ( Variance ) of 25%, the New Value would Become 74. Accordingly, if the Maximum Sum Value for ALL 6 Numbers was say 245, Applying the Percentage Deviation ( Variance ) of 25%, the New Value would Become 184.
It is Basically a Way of Eliminating History Criteria that was a One Off ( Upto Now of Course ) and Beyond the Previous Normal. Obviously the Percentage Deviation ( Variance ) could be Whatever you Feel Fitting to Achieve the Required Results, and this Method can be Applied to Most Filtering Techniques.
All the Best.
PAB
