Yep, thats the picture... ...anyone visiting would be easy to spot in a crowd by the locals... ...just like a tourist in somewhere like NYC... ...pretty obvious.
This reminds me, I have a very paranoid friend in NYC (makes me laugh thinking about this) who gave me these bit of advice...
1. don't open up a map
2. don't make direct eye contact with anyone
3. don't gawk at buildings
4. don't open your wallet or flash cash
5. don't walk slow
(I've never been to Calgary so I'm not too sure how many of these would apply in "cow-town").
