6/49 Discussion For April 17, 2004

Tonight's ball drop order was:
24, 11, 18, 13, 29, 20, then bonus 8.
The two winning tickets were bought in Ontario. $15,679,695.10 in prizes were awarded, but sales continued to decline for same-size jackpots to $17,851,518. This resulted in a payout of 88%, which is one of the highest payout percentage ever for Lotto 6/49! Less than 14% of sales is supposed to be allocated to the jackpot, but with the second rollover guaranteed at $10 million, the lottery corporations have to subsidize the big jackpot shortfall. :p:

This ones not a bad choice,
Sheba , you have made many generalized statements, do you have anything to back up any of the statements, or are these just a gut feeling.
I have no specific attachment to any number EVER, my numbers are never static, they are ever changing from draw to draw,.

31 is my fav number as you know and when I play it I am just hopeful but sometimes I get the feeling it will show! And sometimes I am right and sometimes I am not...

That's not an answer for the discussion Powerball: it's to shoot to the corner.

You are a victim of Gambler's Fallacy again. After 100 high-sum draws, people that understand randomness (like GillesD and me) will never bet a lot that the next draw would be low-sum. ... <snip>

Are you sure your strategy will win in such case? Can you tell us how a *randomness expert*, wins the lottery?

Lotto is not an uniquely logic play/game. Even Draughts and Chess aren't too.

Thanks Peter... Never got much . Playing a very small wheel...SHould have played a better one .... But with the luck that I was having decided not to spend too much on 649 and spend more on the 25 Millions....
