I wanted to share the support and customer service I have received from Lottery Director staff. I notified them on a few occasions on history data correction and they agreed to send me a complimentary copy.
Lottery Director is in my opinion one of the best lottery analyzing tools on the market with above average customer support. This is Joe Roberts reply to me:
Yes, with pleasure. I deeply appreciate the help you have given, several
times already.
We try to keep the highest standard both for accuracy in the game data and in
the integrity of how we create software for players. We have deep respect
for our players, and try to give them the best support in the field.
A brief note about how we obtain the data: We receive it from an online
wire service, and they have generally been very accurate. It's the same source
that supplies the lottery data to major newspapers and websites. Their
accuracy has been quite good, considering the hundreds of draws that are tracked
every week around the US and Canada. (For example, only a couple of errors have
been noted in the Canada National 6/49, in its over 2000 draws so far.) Not
a perfect record by any means, but still quite good.
That said, it is not to make an 'excuse' for that data source. Thanks to
your effort, we are able to make the corrections to our data.
In fact, since the same data goes to major newspaper outlets, it would be a
concern that somebody might read that newspaper, look at his ticket, and
discard it as a losing ticket. In fact, he might have been holding a winner. In
all cases, the player has to check with the 'official' game data to be sure of
the numbers.
Still, it's good to know that we can correct our data, even though those
other outlets do not (an probably cannot) change theirs. It's thanks to good
players like you, that we can do so. I place a very high value on integrity in
the data, as it should simply be correct for the player.
Again, Karol, thank you for letting me know. We've already corrected the
draw in our data, and it's already included in the download file at the Web
site. I hope you'll always let me know of anything you note in the future.
Please let me know your regular (postal) mailing address. I'll send you a
complimentary copy of the software, with pleasure and gratitude.
Best to you,
Joe Roberts
