Yes, that's similar to what I did. I can't afford to pair up all 754, but I did choose ten for the front end that matched what I thought might happen next, with ten back-end triples that had no 40's (since I think they will go missing). We will see how that works out!

I'v e been tracking missing triples in the UK lotto since draw 800. I too was curious as to the rate of reduction in missing triples, and suspected this rate would be an exponential decay curve, as the less new triples there are to find, the less chance of finding them, and this is a recipe for exponential decay. Here is a plot of the number of missing triples draw by draw between draws 800 and 1844, so it covers over 1000 draws.

You will see that the number of missing triples falls exponentially from 7698 to 2449 over this period. Ive also plotted on the right hand axis the number of new triples found on each draw over the same period. As you can see, in the earlier draws the number of new triples fluctuates erratically between about 15 and 2 , but as we get up to today, this has reduced, again exponentially to between 8 and zero. I have added a polynomial trendline to smooth out this erratic behaviour to demonstrate that this is an exponential curve of ever reducing values (of new triples found) over time.
I guarantee you will observe the same behaviour in the Candian lottery.

I see lots of evidence of my "bursts" on your chart, so it is clear that it will be either feast or famine for the triples. This would imply that we will see one of the 48 missing triples for the Canadian 6/49 game hit only rarely.

I guarantee you will observe the same behaviour in the Candian lottery.

I didn't specify which Canadian lottery as I don't follow them and clearly theres more volatility in the earlier days of a lottery than the later ones. So for different Canadian lotteries the rate of finding new triples ( and volatility) will be different for each.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the Canadian 649 has got to draw 3089 so that it will find new triples rarely I would think.

I have estimated the law of the "number of new triples found" curve for a 649 lotto and it is :-

NT= = 20 x e^(-0.001082 x D).

Where NT is the average number of new triples found (say over the past 20 draws) and D is the latest draw number. Using that formula for the Canadian 649 comes up with an average of 0.7 missing triples drawn (averaged over quite a few draws) currently. This figure reduces with every new draw. If my forumula were accurate, which it can't be as it relies on extrapolation outside of recorded data points it would suggest that by draw 3160 all the missing 48 triples would be found. However. I think this is optimistic as the maths close to the asymptote of an exponential curve get silly, ( a bit like the maths at the instant of the Big Bang) and in fact theoretically the last triple could never be found.


For the Ontario 49 which you said has had 1660 draws, my calculation comes up with an average of 3.3 new triples drawn averaged over 20 or so draws. I have no actual data to tell me if this is correct though. Sadly missing triples have no more probability of being drawn than any others, which is a pity, when we go to all the trouble of tracking them down.

Well this strategy of making combos from the triples is working out well so far.

I have been playing 10 tickets made by combining two triples for each, according to how I think the draw will come out. In draw #1661of Ontario 49 I got 2 numbers from 1 triple and one from another, a $5 win, which paid for the tickets. Last night (draw #1662) triple 24-36-44 fell and I also had one number from the other triple so I won $50.
