aha! winning method this round was again the vortex number spiral in conjunction with my boildown...no straight this time, but hey two boxes were sittin pretty inside the $5 o picks:

unfortunately the evening draw was 731...7XX at only a 1.75% probability bleh! 3 & 1 were in my boildown, and strong in the vortex number spiral

ok, I see how to explain transition from a 9 to a 7 in the spiral. since 9 is the highest digit, only one way to slide - down...to 8 or hop to 7. it makes sense because from zero I allow slide to 1 or hop to 2.
