When did you buy your winning ticket?

Just a little Questionnaire for those who won a significant amount of money in the past. Feel free to contribute if you or anyone close to you has won several thousands in any lotto, getting 5/6 or 6/7 numbers etc.

What day did you buy your ticket on and was it for super 7/649 was it a sat or wednesday draw?

What time was your winning ticket purchased at?

Just thought I'd ask and see if there are any patterns, from what I've read most winners buy their tickets in the mornings.

I guess I'll reply to my own post if nobody else wants to.

I bought my winning ticket on a tuesday morning in November 11 2003 at a gas station near a temp job i was holding at the time. I never drank coffee but my job required me to start at 4.45 am so i convinced myself to get coffee which is something i normally don't drink...nor did i play lotto much as it was only my 3rd ticket I had purchased.

I bought my ticket for the 6/49 draw the next day at about 6.49 am and discovered on the 13th after my first day on my current job that i had matched 5/6 numbers! The the number I needed was right below where it shoudl have been....:(

To think, i could have been $5 000 000 richer if that number sat one line higher

thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

Lucky you!

Sounds like you bought a quick pick? Funny how they seem to win sometimes...
A few weeks ago my office pool bought 25 Super 7 tickets (quick picks) for the most recent jackpot of $30,000,000. (I didn't participate as I was away that day). The 25 purchasers put in 2 bucks apiece. They hit 6 out of the 7 numbers... amounted to a little over $100 for each member in the pool.
These tickets were purchased towards the end of the day (about 3:30PM) on Friday.
Another lady in the same office bought a 6/49 ticket playing her usual numbers about 11 AM in the morning about 10 years ago on the day of the draw (I think it was a Wednesday). She very nearly didn't play her numbers for that draw, so she said, as she was too pressed for time. She played a combo of birthdays and other numbers significant to her. She won 5 out of 6 plus the bonus number - about $120,000. She earned herself a write up in the local newspaper.

As for me, that's secret.

The few times I have won, I have purchased tickets the day of the draw, by very nice ladies at the counter - all said good luck.

The one other time I had a very good, odd, feeling was when Dennis Bassboss played his dancing set -2 of them - after the October bonus draws. We had been discussing that 29 as DN and I knew something was going to happen that draw :dizzy:

I didn't play all of those numbers - but hit nicely - but I had a good feeling something was going to happen. :agree:

That was and remains the best winning discussion - ever - and a testimony to what can be achieved with great discussion. :agree: :agree2:
