WELL ITS NOT SOMETHING THAT I GOT BUT THAT MY KIDS GOT. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE STAYED AWAY FROM P2 PLAYERS AND XBOXS AND NINTENDOS BECAUSE WE FELT THAT KIDS CAN DO BETTER THINGS THAN SIT IN FRONT OF THESE THINGS ALL DAY.
LAST MONTH WE HAD A FIRE IN A WOOD PILE NEXT TO THE HOUSE AND IF MY SON HAD NOT WOKEN UP WHEN HE DID AND GET US UP PRONTO WE WOULD HAVE LOST THE HOUSE , IT WAS THAT CLOSE TO CATCHING ON FIRE. HE HELPED HIS DAD WITH THE EXTINGUISHER /HOSE AND HE WAS VERY CALM THROUGH IT ALL.
TO US HE WAS THE HERO . BUT MY SON IS VERY POSSESIVE ABOUT THINGS SO WE COULD NOT GET HIM THE P2 PLAY UNDER JUST HIS NAME (HE WOULD NEVER SHARE IT WITH HIS SISTERS) SO WE GOT ONE FOR ALL THE KIDS!
HE HAS WAITED YEARS FOR ONE AND WHEN HE OPENED IT UP HE CRIED. ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS GOT AND WONT TAKE IT OFF HER SHOULDER, AND THE OTHER GOT A STUFFED PURPLE UNICORN THAT SHES NUTS ABOUT
AND THAT IS MY CHRISTMAS STORY. I JUST ENJOY WATCHING THE KIDS AT CHRISTMAS THATS THE BEST PRESENT!!!
That story was really neat and interesting mon!
Thank you for sharing something so personal and that leaves us with a feeling of gratitude and what is important in our hearts. Your son is a real hero indeed, and is also not spoiled as some kids are. Thankfully you were able to put out the fire in time!

And the rest of your kids all got something they love too. The best present of all are sharing childrens' happiness and joy.
I was expecting talk of toys and gadgets, but this is better.
I don't have children, something I regret, alot. It's probably too late for me now to try to have children. My husband has grown daughters, no longer at home. They are busy independently building their own lives, complete with ups and downs. In time, I expect that they will marry and have their own children. Then I can experience children from babyhood and watch them grow up and I can be a part of that.
For the record though, I did get a neat toy, a digital audio player/radio tuner/tape recorder in candy apple red that is not much bigger than a thumb!
