Been scrutinizing Nick's software for LottoselectorXLP. Can anyone tell me, what are "3 Bins" and how is it used?
Thanks!

The 3-Bins method works as follows:

The user alters the parameters:
forDraw: => to generate predictions for that Draw ID
Duration: => How many last Draws the program shall use for, to collect info, so that can come up with the predictions
Pick: => How many numbers to be included on each Prediction Trial
Trials: => How many Trials
Slider 1-50 is used to generate variations on the predictions

Now that the program does have the parameters, it works as follows:

It divides the selection range ie: 1-49
in 3-fields (bins)

From Bin 1:
it selects proportional numbers to Pick size that are frequent for the parameter "duration"

From Bin 2:
it selects numbers that have appeared ~average times for the same "duration"

From Bin 3:
if selects numbers that have appeared less than average...

In general it is a Hot/Average/Cold system but it is controlled by the Slider value.

Nick , this is what I've waited for , an explanation of what the function does. Could you possibly do this for each function of your program? The help file in the program doesn't explain what is happening or how to interpret the results. I'm certain I'm not alone in seeking additional info on the program's use, but for now it waits on my harddrive . I have tried the search function but the results were inconclusive.

I'll comment on "the results were inconclusive"

The new versions of the program does have the options of "Global Statistics" which is
the summary of each method as of to what could happen if these parameters
were used throughout the history of the game.

This report indicates:
The Total Numbers selected
The Total Hits

and some other statistical information
that can help you understand "how good" that method has perform.

Upon that information you can select this method or not for the upcoming Draw.
So the results will become not "inconclusive" but informative!

I hope that you will comment on these findings and provide some more ideas
as of other methods that we can use.

One of the best tests that you can perform shall be if:
Set you parameters and revise the "picks" value to 24 (for a 6/49 Game)
Then applying the "Global Statistics" you shall know if your
parameters have produced some statistically significant predictions or not.

Miracle methods do not exist in Lotto Games!

But the new functions will provide you with some "inside" information as of your parameters
and that maybe could identify some parameters that do produce better results.
Then if it is so, you could use these....hopping that it will repeat the next time.

Nick , thanks for the speedy reply. At least I have an idea now of what is happening when I run the program.
The quote " I have tried the search function but the results were inconclusive " did not refer to your program, but rather to the Search function on this website. If you thought I was being critical, please forgive me for not expressing my post more clearly. Believe me after all these years of playing the lottery I know that there are no miracle methods or systems, however combining methods or systems can give a player a definite edge. Now I have another tool for the workshop:)
