Hot on the Island, Snow in Labrador 10/24/03 (VOCM News)
Yesterday's mild weather tumbled some records.

Gander recorded a maximum temperature of 19.5 celsius which beat the old daily record of 18.3 set in 1953.

Deer Lake recorded a maximum temperature of 21.6 c which also beat the old record of 18.3 set in 1942.

Stephenville recorded a maximum temperature of 20.5 c which beat the old record of 17.8 set in 1956.

Records of another kind in Labrador. Wabush received 33.2 cm of snow which beat the previous daily record of 13.6 set in 1988.

Goose bay received 19.0 mm of rain which beat the previous record of 18.0 set in 1942.

Monday we had record breaking heat of upper 90s.
Today it got to low 90s and then dropped to low 70s in the afternoon. This time of year is :dizzy: down here. :clown:

Snow has already covered the ground around here...but today with the help of the sun...It is allmost all gone...At least for a while...I hope!! :cold:
