Phoenix97 said:From what I can see the game really isn't all that popular across Canada. You can estimate the number of tickets sold by looking at the 2/4 category (or the lowest prize category in most any lottery), finding the number of winners there, and taking into consideration the odds of winning in that prize category. For example, recently there have been about 50,000 (±10,000) winners in the 2/4 prize category for the Ontario Payday lottery. The odds of winning in that prize category are about 1 in 6. So if there are 50,000 winners there, there are about 300,000 tickets sold, or about $600,000 worth.
This is pretty small compared to something like Lotto 6/49; as an extreme case, take yesterday's draw, with some 378,000 winners in the 3/6 category, multiply by 57 (odds of getting 3/6 are 1 in 57) and multiply by 2 for the cost of the ticket, to get $43,000,000+ in ticket sales.
Not really sure.veronica said:sounds like you have studied the lottery statistics. Do you think you'll play the payday long?
i dont know the pamphlet i got for the wclc payday says the odds for the grand prize are 1 in 1,300,000....10 times better odds than 649 for a quater the prize (675,000) cash payout.i dont get how it can be such a bad choice????Lotto$Master said:You or anyone wont win this game.. its too hard

I think the payday odds are better than the 649 as well. I buy payday tickets all the time. Last year I won $50, could win more...![]()

Wonder why different games, and same name in meaning? I like games like Jour dePaye, 6+bonus out of 36, so hoping that will be widely available....

odds are 1 in 1.3million-ish. assuming theres 1 repeat from the previous draw u lower your odds to 1 in 73500 or so. as high as 2 numbers from previous draw have matched....(rare), thus only having to figure out the other 2 numbers(1 in 1500odds odds or so)

There are some changes necessary in this section’s header in my opinion….not necessarily to select from 1 to 77 anymore…possible to select from 1 to 36 also for a couple weeks or more now …

i wish they had a 6/36 in Ontario!! i'd be all over it
tomtom said:I do not live in Quebec. Even, despite an old time wish to visit Montreal, for which from many I heard is one of the most beautiful cities all around the world, I haven’t so far…
I just like to search about various games. I like games with ball machines, and found a fact that their lottery corp uses ball machines for all games. So, enough for a start to like that company….
Moreover, I like their Quebec49 since I prefer inexpensive games, games that have a lot of JP winners, and sure, NO “must play any quick picks if play the game” or opposite, and where is possible to see a draw on TV, not necessary a real time draw….
And, generally speaking about a 6/36 + B game , in my opinion 6/36 +B up to 6/45+B or such game where a player can choose OWN numbers , play quick picks just OPTIONALLY but not NECESSARY by any means , AND opposite, with ball machine, and such, and possibly a TV draws, is a game a lot of players are passionate about and may have a huge numbers of tickets sold regularly, for which a more than one great example is obvious these days for anyone with an internet connection, who would like to know which game may sell the highest numbers of combinations in a regularly starting JP draw, taking into consideration population.
The better the prices for one combination and the better the ALL prizes, the more players are passionate, though….
Simply, a lot of players like sound odds, and good all prizes….
It depends on a lottery corp which games and how many they would offer to their Valuable customers….
