UK ThunderBall 11-Oct-2013

I noticed that last night's ThunderBall draw was slightly different to the norm.

The numbers were...

01-13-17-37-39 & TB-14

They produced the lowest winners since the ThunderBall started for Match 3 + TB to 499 winners, Match 3 to 7,477 winners and Match 2 + TB to 5,797 winners.

In addition to this they produced the lowest number of winners of 70,440 and the total prize amount to £390,446.

They also changed the n4-n1 range that was previously 3 & 35 to 3 & 36, an increase in 1.

I just thought the UK members might find this interesting!

Interesting draw: lowest number, highest number and highest Thunderball. You'd think a draw like that would have more winners, not fewer.

I couldn't agree more :agree: .
I suppose the fact that it didn't gives you some sort of insight or indication as to what numbers Lotto players are actually playing!

Hey PAB,

Since you are the Stats Master -- how many Thunderball games could have been won with 1+39+any other triple + 14 for TB?

I know, I know, I sound like Jack!

To calculate the answer you can just use the formula...

=COMBIN(1,1)*COMBIN(37,3)*COMBIN(1,1)*COMBIN(14,1)

...which gives you the total combinations of 7,770.

If you would like the list of 7,770 combinations I could upload a file for you mate.

Regards,

Thanks, Mate! No need for the list, the formula is sufficient (and I should have been able to figure that out, duh).
