Hi
A while back Frank posted the above mentioned spreadsheet, I did downloaded it, but mine went corrupt.
Does any one still have this sheet, will you please upload it for me.

What was the name of the spreadsheet - was that the actual title? What repeats in particular was it finding? I’ve done literally hundreds of spreadsheets so I do forget about some of them.
I’ll probably still have it somewhere, or maybe the original download link still works? Is there a topic in this forum where we discussed it ? Perhaps a link to that will remind me.

All I had was that the sheet was saved as UK Repeat (6/49).
I have surge the BB over and over but to no avail.
I wish I could give more info.

Are to able to upload a screenshot of the first page, or are you saying that you can no longer open the spreadsheet ?
Can you provide a description of what it did, for example, used macros to compare each result with another past result and count match 3s match 4’s over history etc. Or maybe there were no macros, just formulas?

Was it comparing actual results with each other Yes or No ?

With the help of a friend we manage to make a screen dump with the macro it contains, all other calculations are done with formula's.

Ah yes, I know what this is. I call it curved ball analysis because it compares pairs of past draws N apart from each other where you can set N. N is Rather unfortunately labelled SKIPS, which might be a confusing label because it is really the space between draws which you want to compare. Its curved because a matching ball from draw A curves around the draws in between to land in draw B, which is N draws away. That comparison spacing (or skip) continues down the whole of lottery history and a table shows any matches (or repeats A to B) where A and B continually change identity as it steps into the past. The repeated numbers table shows up the numbers from the past draw which are the same as those in the result shown on the left, for that setting of SKIP.
A counter looks at the most recent draws to see if youve found a value of SKIP where several consecutive hits to recent draws is happenning. The question is, will this continue ? If YES, then it shows which past draw will have a match in the next future draw. If you think no, then it acts as a number eliminator for the next draw.
The version I shared is a cut down version of a much bigger project, which has since evolved into something else.
The question is can I find a copy of that cut down version, or do I need to recreate it ?
Leave it with me, I'll give it some thought.

Well in the end I could not find that exact cut down version, so I had to redo it. I also took the opportunity to update it to the 659 version although the 649 will still work with it. Since 2010 when I wrote it Excel has moved on, so I've made it compatible with the xlsm version to avoid problems with conditional formats which have changed since Excel 2000, the version I wrote it in.
I've removed some features from the version I'm using today as its complicated enough without the extra stuff. The version I originally shared was only a demo of concept and you were supposed to manually change a skip value and see how the repeats from history behaved over the last 16 or so draws.
It posed the question, if you can find the right skip value which always has at least one repeat to the sequence of most recent draws, will this skip also repeat to the next future draw and therefore contain at least one of the future results ? Will a consecutive run of 7 hits become a consecutive run of 8 ?
Will the run come to an end so ruling out a past set of 6 numbers ?
So it would be good to find a skip that created consecutive hits to recent draws. In practice theres usually more than 1 such skip value so you could get more than 1 draw from the past that might/might not have numbers in the future draw.
On the demo I uploaded its hard to find them (the good skips) manually, but my more advanced version ran macros to take all the hard work out of it. Ive wondered whether to share this part as its not for novices who dont know what they are doing. Anyway Ive included the macros and instructions on how to use it. Sometimes the macro will find 3 or 4 different skips which point to 3 or 4 past draws which are of interest. Other times it might find just 1 skip.
The macro takes between 30 seconds and one minute to run (provided this is the only spreadsheet you have running! ). Look at the status bar to see progress .......
I noticed when the database for the UK lotto is up to date to last Wednesday, it only found one skip of interest. Thats why this upload is a couple of weeks out of date, to show it does find more when there are more.

There needs to be more than 300 draws for it to work with, or it will run out of data and probably give an error.
The only thing that I can guess might be incomplete is the probability table extreme left of the analysis sheet. This is quite separate from the skip analysis macros, and unimportant.
It only checks skips on the first 6 balls, the 7th is ignored.
Other than that, if you can get your data in without corrupting the formulas, you should try it and see.

Well saving as Excel 2007 format is not an option. The options are save as macro enabled (xslm) or save as Excel 1993/2003 (xls). So I'm saving as xls.
Like I said, Excel thinks that the conditional formatting I'm using has compatability issues with older versions of Excel. Having said that it seems to work perfectly anyway. Keep a back up, since if Excel ever finds an excuse to 'recover this file' it will 'repair' it and delete the conditional formats.
Note that saving it in this format doubles the original file size which was 926kb.
