The Art of Eliminating Numbers

rolleyes: :bawl:
I really am terrible at figuring out which numbers to eliminate. I always end up with too many numbers - try to cut the numbers down and then end up eliminating a couple of numbers that end up being drawn. Everyone seems to have different ideas of how to come up with the right numbers when you try to eliminate number to wheel them. Even if you come up with the right numbers, you are lucky to get enough to play on the same ticket! I have heard some people who make enough to live off of playing the lotteries - boy would I starve!!!! Any good tips or sites that offer seamingly good suggestions for eliminating numbers? Last one I read, said eliminate the entire last two draws because the percent of these numbers repeating is statistically small- but whoever wrote that article would miss the boat - I figure anywhere from 1 - 4 numbers can come up in the last two draws alone on 649.
Any tips, suggestions, etc. is greatly appeciated! I'm aiming for at least breaking even or hitting the odd 4 out of 6 (Which, by the way, I have never done). I know I'll probably never get the six out of six - however, other people are doing much better then I am, so obviously they know something I don't. I'd love to see some discussions around how people come up with their numbers. I realize some work sometimes - not all the times. But when someone says either 42 or 49 will be drawn and 49 does get drawn - how did them come up with that. 49 is one of the numbers that get drawn the least amount of time.

Elimination /Prediction of Lotto Numbers for the next Draw is an Art!
The process can make or break your budget.

The steps I follow are the following:

I start with two basic questions in mind.
1). If I eliminate this Number...which other(s) numbers have appear more frequently?
2). If I include this Number...which other(s) numbers have not appear more frequently?

I use a fixed number of history draws during this test.
For a 6/49 game I use 30 draws

Also a frequency distribution for the 30 draws is used to finalize my conclusions.

Every method is legitimate for as long the procedure is understood, revised, tested and tested again.

Many others do have a method for elimination /prediction and I'll be glad to exchange ideas about it.

Try winhunter. There were quite a few excellent methods for eliminating numbers.....I didn’t use them though because was too lazy to read the help file and experiment with the progie, but however, that’s almost all that players essentially have accomplished so far regarding eliminating numbers …

I couldn't get this to work - all I got was a bunch of numbers and when I went to read the instructions instructions sent me back saying "cant find". I tried this site a couple of times and keep getting the same response.

Very lonnng learning curve on Winhunter, so I understand.
You are not alone with this problem. Try Lotto statistics, (Nick Koutras) - also a lot of numbers but gives you a sense of the statistical trends with practice. Gives you all kinds of statistics. I would not recommend his predictor though. Only you can be best predictor. Having said that, I personally use it very rarely. Other people like Gail Howard's software. Another program which is useful for statistics only, do not use it to generate winning number combinations, is Lotwin. However, Lotwin does not take into account the bonus number as I guess it is geared exclusively toward the jackpot. The stats and graphics are super easy to understand. It costs a bit, but you are paying money to buy tickets anyway, so I justified the cost that way.

I see for last draw there was no repeat. I think someone put repeat phenomenon at a bit over 60% historically if you include the bonus. I usually pick a repeat myself. Previous recent history there was more than one repeat, repeatedly. This is a bit unusual. Oftentimes statistically unusual number behaviour tends to cluster for a short while. There's all kinds of statistical behaviour things to consider and getting one or two or three right is very often possible, but getting all 6 numbers right, well that's very difficult, but I won't say impossible...

Good luck!:wavey:

Further to above posting, Lotwin has free download so you can try it out for a few months. After that you have to pay.
I don't remember if Gail Howard has a free trial-I don't think so. I do have it but I never use it. One thing about it, once you get it you never have to pay again. It's Ok for beginners I think, and some people like it.
Nick Koutras' software, that I'm aware of, is completely free.
Just google Lottery software and there's all kinds of stuff out there... So much stuff to wade through, I just don't have the time. I'd rather be spending time picking numbers based on personal experience and a few softwares that I know than trying out new softwares. Anyway, that's some info for you.

Predictor? Never have heard of it. Is there any link for download?

Well, LottoSelectorXLP, sort of does some predicting and offers up best choices to play, in various ways. Same link as Lottodesigner. Google either or also LottoStatistics should take you there, I think.

Thanks Mirage

I think you are quite right. I have drawn some conclusions about various numbers and I am now starting to get more consistant $10.00 wins. I have tried different ideas and have slowly eliminated many of them as useless. I also have purchased different wheels, ideas, etc. and have found them to not perform as advertised. I have finally found a site that I think if I can pick out most of the numbers, I can be guaranteed at least a $10.00 win or two by wheeling them properly - thats what was missing in the programs I purchased (their wheeling programs was totally useless!) The program I found was one recommended by this site and since it is not a "full wheel", I can wheel 30 numbers in 10 tickets to keep the amount of money I spend to a reasonable amount. I also am still in the discovery stage about various numbers - how often they repeat, what number of times they play, how often do they repeat with different numbers....etc. I was just tired of donating so consistantly and want to improve my chances of winning 3, 4 or more numbers, that's why I decided to post my note - the people that have answered my posting have really been a help. I actually came across a site that had a graph on numbers most likely to repeat themselves..however, it wasn't up to date, so not very practical. Anyway, everyone's posting will help someone else - I see lots of people checking out my messages and the responses - I only see the positive side of posting questions and getting answers back - thanks again.

I went on excel and figured out the average numbers in each column. It goes like this 7 - 14 - 21 - 28 - 35 - 43. Bonus 25. Funny how all the numbers are multiples of seven. It makes sence. I will take this list into consideration from now on.:dizzy:

Thanks

Thank you Caolan
I'll check that out. I know that many people say that the totals should be in a certain range, but I'm still in my research stage!

I'm sorry - I goofed it was a 20 number wheel I used last time.
I went back and checked.
It was a 20 Number Lotto Wheel - Not 30. I've been looking at far too many wheels - the 30 number Wheels are way more expensive but they are out there. The one that plays 20 numbers is for 10 tickets and it is dependant on your providing the right numbers within the draw. I didn't have quite all of the numbers and I managed to get my $10.00 back (I figure that was a bonus).
The wheel guarantee's at least 3 numbers drawn in the six tickets if you manage to pick all of the numbers. Well, I always manage to take out the wrong numbers when I am trying to get down to 20 numbers - I figure if I can be more consistant in determining the correct numbers - I'll try a more expensive wheel. For those of you who are reading this note want to know,
The Lotto Wheel I found was on :
http://lottotutor.com/tips/20wheel.html (6 number wheel)
There are some excellent wheels available through this site - but you have to pick the one that is right for you. I just didn't want to play too expensive a wheel until I was better at selecting my numbers. I also came across a whole bunch of number wheels on http://mladenmalik.www1.50megs.com/wheels7.html that guarantee a certain number of wins - but the more numbers you use and the more numbers guaranteed to win determines what the cost is. You might want to have a look at this site for your 30 numbers. The reason I came up with this site was that I also wanted to try Super Seven as well as 649 and was directed to this site by a Senior Member. I haven't tried looking for more 649 sites or checking out this site further as I am not ready to try a more expensive approach.
I know that many other people are reading this message ...So .. I'd advise anyone wanting to play a more expensive wheel no matter where you get your wheel from, to keep track for many draws to determine if you would win with the wheel you choose -( I would hate to see anyone lose money with a wheel that may be ineffective. ) Check them out first and see if you can answer these questions: Would you win back your money? Make more money? etc. etc. Believe me, I tried one that wasn't worth the money I paid and I learnt a very valuable lesson - hence my warning!
There always seems to be another big jackpot to win down the road so patience, research and diligence are the key. Good luck to all!!!!
