That's why ALC has TAG added to Super 7 with a fixed $100K jackpot. Bonus jackpots are great, but lottery corporations would make us pay extra for the bonus jackpot (like $1 for TAG). I think I'll stick with trying to win the Super 7 jackpot, because it only costs $2 to play, or $16 for a Combination 8 if I really feel lucky.

you do not have to buy the tag if you do not want to.

Tag has nothing to do with Bonus Jackpots..

I never do, since you can't pick your own TAG numbers. But if you could, it would be cool to see TAG's $100K jackpot go up to 50% of Super 7s jackpot on the Friday when the Super 7 numbers are dealt. Then on the next day, Saturday, the jackpot would adjust to 50% of the 649 jackpot, and it would do the same on Wednesday. All other days, the jackpot remains fixed at $100K.

Someone told me a while back that you could pick your own numbers in TAG's predecessor games back in the `70s (way back when A-plus and Atlantic Lotto were the mainstream games). But when 649 became mainstream in 1982, the pre-TAG games lost out. Then TAG came out in 1988 where all numbers were randomly chosen, and it became harder as you needed six numbers instead of five to win the jackpot.:(

Interesting to note why someone in the past would give you their phone number as, for example, 3-5805 instead of 853-5805. The 3-5805 would translate into 35805, someone's special numbers used for Atlantic Lotto or A-plus, like someone picking birthdates or anniversaries for numbers in Super 7 or 649.

I wish the TAG number would not be printed if not played. It is all just a money game for them.

I can't remember ever being able to pick the TAG number?

Yeah, I know. You feel like crap when you get the first three numbers and you didn't play. You can't help but look at the TAG numbers after you play Super 7 and 649. They leave the numbers on so if you do land any numbers, you feel you have to play the next time.:dizzy:
