Spring Arrives 3/20/04 (Audrey Whelan)
There are snowbanks everywhere these days, but warmer weather is just around the corner. Spring officially arrives in Newfoundland and Labrador at 3:19 am March 20th. Meterologist Tom King says there is a lot of snow on the ground today especially in Gander. He says the airport town has about 160 centimetres when the area usually has less than 50 centimetres on the ground this time of year. King says it will be some time before flowers are blooming, but he says milder weather is approaching.
