Schools of Thought among lottery players

There seems to be two schools of thought that I can discern. The first one are the devotees of wheeling as started by Dimitrov. The second are the devotees of repeat cycles of number groupings using the algorithm of de Moivre . The main proponent is Ion Saliu. Looking around the sites devoted to lotteries it would appear that the wheelers are in the majority, no doubt influenced by the preponderence of this school of thought on the net. I wonder if people actually use rational judgement as to which school of thought they decide to embrace or do they just follow the flow.

Trending - whether recent historical data indicates certain numbers have hit more often than not recently, and whether these numbers will or will not continue to hit (hot or cold trending).....

Same thing using sums, single digit or root, mainly confined to Pick 3 and 4 games.....

Delta analysis.....

Sum and position frequency analysis.....

And each method has its proponents and detractors.

It depends which lottery do you play. If you play a lottery that has fair ticket prices, then the wheels are probably better, since you may also consider using these repeating cycles if you wish, but still have some math logic in there. Personally, I don’t believe in any repeating cycles in lottery. If there are any, probably there will be more than one (or none) JP winners per draw.
