Actually I'm watching re-runs of Calgary's win against Edmonton...Steve Smith is the hero in that game....But not for his team unfortunately...Got to be the worst play in the NHL history...

I think those players need to give their head a shake,
Gordie Howe perhaps one of the best players never ever saw the kind of money some of these 4th liners get.
I say start a new leaque, :dang:

If that strike (lock out)drags on...We might see the birth of an all Canadian league... :agree: :agree2:

They will play in europe for less money ,but they don't want a salary cap, go figure.
Here in Edmonton, whenever I get Free tickets to a game, between parking, a program, hot dog and a drink for two, its still $60.outrageous!!!!
These players need to get back to reality.

I think that this time they'll have no choice...Marcel Aubut way back when the first strike occured said and predicted that Québec City, Winnipeg...And perhaps a few more Canadian city would lose their team...He said that what we are seing now would happen...
He was right!
:agree: :agree2:

Dennis, you must feel good about The chances of the Alouettes for Grey cup champions.
I will be watching the game between edmonton, and Saskatchewan very closely tomorrow.:agree:

Here in Montreal some people are already trying to get it going....
Soon others from other provinces will follow....I have nothing against the americans ...but hockey is just not their sport...

When we lost Quebec City, and Winnepeg, we lost abit of our rich hockey history.
It has bothered me that Edmonton, or Calgary or Ottawa could always be next.
Going back to the 40's, Edmonton has had a rich hockey culture.
