i'll post my ramblings about this in this thread

hi all,

i play a free lotto, and have been collecting bonus free entries that can last upto a mont before entering them.

i just went and entered last months and had 195 extra tickets to play, its a 6/49 draw.

of course the only prizes worth getting are the 5/6 or 6/6 as theyre cash.
1 in 13,983,816
6/6 $1mil
5/6 $25
4/6 6 free tickets,
3/6 3 free tickets

as i was playing easy picks , i noted there a box i can enter comma delimited numbers with cut n paste, and thinking i really should make a wheel for the game ,


so guess my real question is any suggestions for a 6/49 wheel for mabye 150 tickets based on above pay table?

heheh ok i'll use lotto designerXL to make a

156 wheel, as you win tickets in bunches of three. i'll make it

39 6 5 6 156 1


and hope i get all 6 in the 40 numbers i pick .

most tedious part wil be cut n pasting the numbers across.

well i got a month to go it says Rqd 18644
so its not like im gonna get many 5 hits, in 156 tickts.

i also set ot to 20 000 iterations , and see small percant gains over time, lucky i have a month, im aready thinking maybe play with numbers to see how small pool i need to get 5?

dang! i dropped pool or V= to 29 and still Rqd
3801 tickets.

although the random checker sometimes puts out a 5 hit.

oh wowo a V = 19 has required tickets of 191 , i coulda have hit it, assuming i got all 6 in my 19 numbers.

i think my new plan is to win as many free tickets over the next month. then come back to it and see how big a pool i need .

just testing the random number feature i see im quite likely to hit 5 with requred tickets being 3 or 4 times what im actually playing

oh and thanks to CSV i can save em with commas, heheh this is great , tks nick
