I am moving my computer to another room in the house, is it just a matter of unplugging everything and plugging it back in or do I need to do anything in particular first?

Slip-proof your floor, lock up the dog and put on some grippy gloves :D

... oh yeah ... and wear your steel-toe work boots ;)

Sounds like one helluva job..can't get the gloves on, tho. ;)

PS. I'm not moving the house, just the computer.

Maggie:

Tip of the day:idea:...

If you have wheels on your chair, use it to move the monitor:agree:.

Maggie - get those little post it note sticky thingies or use a felt pen and label all of the connection cord hookups on your puter. This helps us from trying to reconnect the mouse cord to the monitor port after a move. ;)

...some of the more newer ones are closer to idiot proof... ...they are colour coded already... ...the sound cards have been doing this for years already... ...the best way, take some good pictures of the cables like the cops do at a crime scene...

I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself, george. I just hope I get the printer and scanner going afterwards with no problems.

I agree with George, on this one Maggie.
Moving a computer, and hooking it up properly, sounds like something your husband should do.:D
