Question about LottoStatisticsXL!

To Nick or whoever can give me an answer!

What's the definition of frequency used in LottoStatistcs?

From looking at it, it seems to be a hit count more than a frequency!

In my book (electrical engineering),
frequency = (# of hits) / (period of observation)
And also,
period = ( time/draws untill a new repetition)
period has a notion of cycle.

Thanks for any replies or comments in advance!

I use the following
frequency = (# of hits) / (period of observation)

(period of observation) = Duration for LottoStatisticsXL

Uhm... strange....

With this settings:
Code:
Duration N-tuplets Display
   10 2 20

For the following 10 lines:
Code:
641	31/12/2003	3	15	31	36	43	82
642	01/03/2004	29	32	36	72	77	82
643	01/07/2004	2	33	41	56	62	74
644	01/10/2004	15	25	26	32	51	61
645	14/01/2004	5	15	59	65	70	82
646	17/01/2004	4	6	19	40	60	79
647	21/01/2004	3	36	53	64	80	90
648	24/01/2004	22	27	48	52	81	83
649	28/01/2004	7	41	48	54	72	88
650	31/01/2004	4	11	26	53	63	66

I got this:
Code:
Frq	Observed
0	3800
1	200
2	5 0336	0453	1582	2663	3682

So the Frq is a hit count not a Frequency which would have been 2/10=0.2!

You are correct!

I'll revise the heading to "Hits"

Thanks,

Something srange

Hi all,

I played around with the Best Performing Set and tried all 28 combinations while keeping everything the same I only changed the category and noticed the following after I've finished:

Category Better than ave.

16 26.6
26 26.6
56 26.1
66 25.8

All four of the above gave me the same 20 numbers. Strange or not?

Cheers,

Scroodge
