I just heard on the news that Toronto Police will begin random stops in order to check documentation. Not at a RIDE...but anywhere, anytime. Am I overreacting or does this go too far?...It smacks of Nazi Germany, or something Orwellian 20 years late.

Sometimes Karnac, in order to live in a peaceful, lawful abiding society, we have to put up with a few inconviences.
Just think how many people they will catch that have no insurance, get these guys off the road, and just maybe your rates will go down.

here in Edmonton, the police have formed a task force to identify the 100 worst drivers, all patrol cars are on the lookout for these guys.
This years checkstop, over the holidays netted over 500 impaired charges, and another 500 -24 hr suspensions.
The police even had a drinking and driving sting against the Mayor

Decided to delete my post, since obviously me and the other forum members misread the Not at a RIDE...but anywhere, anytime. However, it is necessary to read the complete story in order to get a clear picture...
It would be good if Karnac posts a link regarding this matter…
