hello

In france we have keno with 70 numbers. 20 numbers are draws.
You can play on bulletin for 2 to 10 numbers
the maximun winning is when you have 10 on the 20 numbers draws about the 70.

On the bulletin, they said you have 1 chance "luck" on 2147181 to win.
i think it's the ratio between the numbers of combinaisons of 10 you have play
(because you choose 10 and the draw choose 20) and the numbers of combinaison possible of 10 /70?
many persons think it's more easy than the loto, i don't think that.

in fact i want to know really you chance, but not on a ratio, only on numbers of combinaisons.
For exemple, the fact to choose 10 numbers give xx combinaisons and to choose 10 numbers on 70 give yy combinaisons
i think, the ratio yy/xx will give 2147181, so it's more difficult to win than the loto. in fact in France, you have only 3 to 5 winner to 10 numbers in a year.

in fact for me,the keno is the inverse of loto, you choose the result and the draw play a "multiple" of 20 numbers for 10 play
.

thank's for your answer

ty, dhs. Confirms what I have on site and the spreadsheet, except I publish mine to two decimal points.

It's a little misleading, however, to state overall odds of winning a prize. Since each game (2 Spot, 3 Spot, etc.) is its own separate entity they all have different odds of winning. Sometime in the future I'll have the Ontario games done and posted on the Keno Analysis page, and that will have the odds of having a winning ticket for each game.

I had a look at the french keno site.I don't know enough french but it seems there are two draws daily,it can be done online and it is big deal over there.I think they also publish winnings and statistics which does not happen on Ontario. What is your take on KENO in France?

The link to my analysis of Keno in France can be found in Post #2 in this thread.

I did a workup last night of Ontario Keno prior to posting the game on the analysis page. Nothing has changed in the 3+ years since I found the game and posted the payout percentages on the Keno page on my website. Along with Quebec, Ontario has one of the worst set of payout percentages of any ongoing Keno game on the planet.

Do you think there is some manipulating or is it just a bad investment if you want to gamble?I have had more luck with keno than any other lottery. Why don't they post the results..is it because the playing field is tilted and it would be pretty obvious?

If you're looking for a return of investment (ROI) it's a bad deal. If you look on gambling as entertainment and are willing to pay for it you'll spend less time on this game. With payout percentages dipping below 50% on some games it's a good bet - for Ontario.

With few exceptions, no one offers a gambling game to lose money. With government-owned games, it's a balance between how much of a bite they can take out of the gross before the bettors believe it's a bad investment. And, whatever they do take out, it's supplemental income on top of the taxes you already pay.

On the other hand, who knows? You might be the lucky one to win the jackpot and get rich without much effort. That's the come-on.

The odds differ depending on the game you play
eg for 4 number game Ontario Keno odds are 1/189. Actually with Ontario Keno
you can do quite well. Just this week alone I grossed
$1,300.00.
Last night alone I won $650
6 lines 4/4 and one line 6/7.
With Keno things seem to get better with practice.

Odds are correct and confirmed. Good picking. I'll try to get the PQ Keno analysis posted in the next couple of weeks.

I do play more than the average person.
My strategy is..if I play a lot..say $120.00
I make sure that I include a good percentage
of 4 number game. That is insurance, usually I get at least one line.
4/4 .....$100.00 and that covers my costs.

Believe it or not one one week I got 6/7
4 sucessive nights in a row ! Never think that if you are missing
one number you are close to winning the jackpot ...getting
from 6/7 to 7/7 is ALMOST as hard as getting from
1/7 to 6/7 !!
In case you haven't read my posts I did get 7/7
last year. 6/6 recently, ( two lines - same draw).

My advice - wait till you have a good vibe about the numbers.
Save money. Then spend more when you play ..and please do include
some 4 number games.

You will be glad you did. Trust me - even with the best
software ..anything above 6 numbers is hard to win.
One line of 7 number game probably won't do the job.
