I was Asked an Interesting Question Yesterday ( while having a Couple of Nice Cold Beers ) that has Prompted me to do this Exercise.
They Asked me, if they had Done the SAME 6 Numbers that had Appeared in the Previous Draw, what Sort of Results would they have Produced.
I have Taken this One Step Further and Produced Results ( Below ) Not Only for the Last Draw But for the Last 5 Draws. In Other Words, the Last Draw, the Last Draw But One etc.
For the Canadian 649 Lotto as at Draw 2,236 ( Saturday the 25th of June 2005 ), the Results Produced are as Follows :-
Draws Ago = 1 2 3 4 5
Matched 0 Numbers = 971 947 954 953 979
Matched 1 Numbers = 920 950 918 974 914
Matched 2 Numbers = 304 300 316 269 279
Matched 3 Numbers = 39 35 42 35 53
Matched 4 Numbers = 1 2 3 1 5
Matched 5 Numbers = 0 0 0 0 1
Matched 6 Numbers = 0 0 0 0 0
Total Draws Tested = 2,235 2,234 2,233 2,232 2,231
The BEST Result would have been if you had Used the Numbers from 5 Draws Ago. I Don't know what the Average Payout for 5 Numbers is, But I Assume it would Probably Cover at Least Half of the Overall Outlay.
For the Main UK 649 Lotto as at Draw 992 ( Saturday the 25th of June 2005 ), the Results Produced are as Follows :-

4 Repeated = 13,545 Combinations, which Equates to 0.10%.
