Positional anlasysis for Super 7

The web site mentionned in the previous post is interesting as it gives the number of times each number can happen in a given position. It covers most types of lotteries.

The following listing gives the actual positional analysis for the 508 draws of Super 7. It is based on BCLC file for that lottery. The data is first the number itself, then the frequency for each position (P1 to P7) and finally the frequency each number has come out whatever the position.

Does positional analysis have any value as a lottery strategy? It seems to me that for a 7/47-type lottery, the selectied combinations would converge around the set:
1, 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 47.

Do lottery software search for bias by highlighting the numbers that deviate the most from the expected frequency instead of just choosing the most frequent numbers in each position?

well it depends,. in a fair lottery there is an expected chart that results should closely match. if the results are way off then there is a bias that can be exploited.

i have alotto that shows such a bias, but still reducing the selection to wheel , to a psosttion filter l, still needs a ton of $$$ to cover for any appreciable chance.


i like idea of poss filter and n-tuplet to find best 3 as banker

Agree with powerball here - the more numbers that are drawn, the less effective positional analysis is useful as a tool to eliminate less frequently drawn numbers and possibilities. I did positional analysis figures on the 7/47 game as an exercise. Using 90% frequency as a base, I was able to only come up with a 43% chance of assuring that certain numbers would fall in each of the 7 positions while eliminating only 34% of the possible draws. It's a far better tool in 3/49 or 4/77, though.
