The current candidate for a singles side only play in Michigan Evening. I *expect* to see a singles side only play in two draws.
In general terms, singles draws occur 70% of the time, but there is no way to know you won't end up getting cooked by 4 to 6 consecutive doubles draws (happens). I like to wait for a game to go 4 doubles consecutively and then work on a singles side only.
Online payouts are 150 (the best payouts), so you can still make a profit simply playing all 120 combinations. But (a big but) if you have to go out just three draws, you'll need (on a $1 ticket) $3700 to cover for a $30 net profit. (and you'll need multiple accounts to boot)
The way to work with this is to single out a root to exclude from play. on any given draw, a root will have an approximate 12% chance of playing. By studying the root stats for a game you can often lower that to around 5%.
Sometimes the data will hand you a root, but often you have to dig for the one to exclude. For tonight's draw there is a reasonably good chance the root will repeat (R8) showing 7 times after an R8 played in this game there was a repeat draw over draw. That is pretty high. Also, we see 25 consecutive non repeats for the root against 33 for the game max. Not completely remarkable, but i'd shy away from excluding the R8.
Now, we see a pattern of 4 consecutive even roots so this might be a possibility then to exclude any even root from play (other than 8). Still, all even, all odd root play can stretch out for several draws, so this is not the best first choice.
Since the lasrt root was an 8, and the data shows only 2 times where the root following a R8 went higher, this leaves us with a R9 as a candidate to exclude.
So I will stick my neck out here and exclude a R9. This applies to tonight's draw only.
Now if doubles play again, I lose no matter what the root is. There have been times when i missed the singles and the root, so the root filter did not hurt me. But what you do not want is to hit the singles (the primary thesis) and miss on the root filter. That is not good at all.
So this play is still a tough one, but if my read of the root is good, and MIE goes singles, it'll be a modest win.
The amount of combinations required is now 106, so on a $1 ticket that is $106 for a $44 profit. Afain, ugle R/R, but a fairly attractive probability.
To go out 3 draws requires $1484 to cover (minimum) leaving a net profit of $16. It is not much, but at least the loss gets recouped on the first play.
These are the implied combinations for play MIE 11/6 draw:
Well see soon enough. I'll be eating crow big time if r9 plays and the singles side hits
