Hi veronica21,

Not very well, I'm afraid, all I ended up with was 2 dollars with one of my free lines. :dang:

Did each province get one of these new games?

I see we have just started one here in BC and the draws started back in feb.
Drawn each thursday night you pick 4 from 1-77 numbers.
Payday is $2000 every 2 weeks for 20 yrs or take a lump sum payout.

Each 2 dollar play entitles you to a shot at 15 possible prizes

The odds are as follows:

Match Win Chances to Win (per play)*
4/4 PayDay/PayDay 1:1,353,275
4/4 $50,000/$50,000 1:676,638
4/4 $10,000/$10,000 1:338,319
4/4 $1,000/$1,000 1:169,159
3/4 All prize categories/$50 1:309
2/4 All prize categories/$2 1:6.2
Any Prize 1:6.1

FYI on most of our scratch and wins the odds on $10,000 is 1:250,000. I guess the excitement of having some input or control will help............LOL

Not much of a database to work from with only 7 draws.........LOL

I think I saw one payday winner so far

Hiya Daleks ... can't remember exactly where I read it (BCLC site I think) but BC Payday does use the cursed ADM (automatic drawing machine a.k.a. compgen/software crap). But I'd still be interested to hear their answer to you.

I play it here too although just a line or two ... what gets my goat is the fact one can self-pick only the 1 main line, all the rest on each ticket (14 lines) are force-fed QuickPicks!! Which really precludes playing wheels on this game, economically speaking. It is a shame shame shame cuz the chances per 2 buck ticket on PayDay vs. say CN49 are 10x friendlier (for the main prize anyway)...

from BCLC- PayDay 4/77

Game Play - $2 Plays
-Each $2 play allows you to select one set of 4 numbers for the top prize. You also receive 14 randomly selected sets of 4 numbers for three other prize categories.
-Sales are cut off at 10 p.m. Pacific Time, Thursdays and draws run shortly afterward.

How to Win
-One set of four (4) numbers drawn every Thursday (10p.m.)
-To win the top prize of $2,000 every 2 weeks for 20 years, player's set of numbers in the Top Prize section of the ticket, must exactly match the set of four numbers drawn.

-If all four (4) numbers in any one (1) set in the $50,000 prize category match the four (4) numbers drawn, winners receive $50,000.

-If all four (4) numbers in any one (1) set in the $10,000 prize category match the four (4) numbers drawn, winners receive -$10,000.

-If all four (4) numbers in any one (1) set in the $1,000 prize category match the four (4) numbers drawn, winners receive $1,000.

-Match 3/4 numbers in any set to win $50.
-Match 2/4 numbers in any set to win $2.

-Win only once in any set of numbers.
-Win up to 15 times per play on a ticket.
-Winners of the top prize may choose to receive one lump sum payment of $625,000
-----

If one chose to play a small wheel with their own numbers it would only apply to the top prize, plus to the 3/4 ($50) and 2/4 ($2) in one (1) set, because the rest are QP's.

But, say one picked 16 numbers from 77 (roughly equivalent to picking 10 from 49 in a 6/49 lotto) to play a small wheel, then:

CM(16,4,2,2)=23 <-- cost $46 for a 2if2 guarantee, win $2 min.
CM(16,4,2,3)=12 <-- cost $24 for a 2if3 guarantee, win $2 min.
CM(16,4,2,4)=09 <-- cost $32 for a 2if4 guarantee, win $2 min.
CM(16,4,3,4)=73 <- cost $146 for a 3if4 guarantee, win $50 min.

I'm new to this 4/77 game but at first glance it ain't so hot despite the seemingly favourable odds. Note the wheels were quick and dirty, made with CoverMaster, someone may have better ones ... so the actual mileage may vary ;). The idea to pick 16 numbers was just for illustration. Using less numbers will bring the cost of wheeling down, obviously.
