OpenOffice v2.3.0

in case anyone uses OpenOffice Calc for spreadsheets as I do, they emailed me that v2.3.0 can now be downloaded

my only complaint is that the file size is getting large...it only used to be about 50MB, but now it is about 100MB.

in their forums I might suggest that they allow people to just download the individual applications if they wish...I only use Calc, don't care about the other stuff.

Might I suggest you try Gnumeric. It is a free stand alone spread sheet application. It can be googled for a dl link
