Ok, I was wanting to start playing pick3/4 and powerball online for state lotteries, but is it even allowed as I'm from canada? and is there anyone that currently does this? And where do you store your funds for these online games?

thanks!

I do believe it is illegal online.

hojimoe is in Canada.

Besides, the legislation mentiones that "lotteries" are exempt. I'd consider that as a loophole, since you are in fact placing money on the actual lottery draw :)

However, I don't want to mess with the redtape BS, don't want to give out SSN and other info to setup offshore click2pay account, or mail checks or whatever to fund, and go through some offshore casino joint, only to have Unkle Skam claim that I'm involved in funding terrorism or whatever tsk!

I've been trying to find this out, but have been unable to find this for canadians. I know they are trying to ban it, but it hasn't been done yet as far as I know :lphant:

yeah, that sucks...figures though, governments want to steal your money anyway they can...gambling is legal for the state lottery monopolies, or legal casino where they can get their grubby paws on the money. I still think it is funny that shady offshore casino joints have the courtesy to give static payouts based upon your risk...while the states hose people out of decent prizes. Roulette for example is 36 to 1 right? 900 to 1 is decent for pick3...why in the hell should a straight payout on a state lottery be as low as $230?!? they are thieves.

CA has absolutely no problem borrowing money into infinity, but they came up with the pari-mutuel crap just so that they'll make more revenue to piss away.

yup, so stay away from trendy picks whenya can...if certain digits go for ages without droppin into play, it is likely that the win won't pay much cuz everyone will be ridin it. I try not to bet on the absolute coldest, but play more the middleground since most people aren't.
