Numbers on the ticket ?

Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum, I have a ticket bought in Toronto, and have a very stupid but important question.
The ticket i have is last Wednesday's (sept 13th) ticket. There is a date printed on the top right of the ticket next to Lotto 649. Is that the date the ticket was purchased or date the drawing was meant for ?
