I would say that you are on the limits of the forum rules....

But I would let the others decide, specially LT!

I understand what you mean. I thought this would be a good idea to post this here because this link does have to do with lotto and so does this forum. I also thought this site would help people who like to play the lottery, but don't have a chance to play the Powerball because some people live in a state where it is not offered. By having a site that offers anyone the chance to play it as long as they have a Paypal account and are over 18 is a great way to expand the lotto market with minimun fees. Thanks for keeping this post here as long as you can.

1st)
Minimum fees... how much does a regular ticket cost? The ones you are selling for 1.5US$?

2nd) Only LT can delete posts and accounts!! I have already contacted him...

A Regular ticket is $1.00 us
We change $1.50 us

.50 is our fee to help keep our site up and running. By the time it gets put into our paypal account we are left with about .30 and we still have to take our time to Get the tickets, write emails, keep track of winning numbers and tickets, keep servers up and running which right now is $10 a month. It would cost the buyer probably almost .30 in gas and time to go and get their own.

So you really hoping that many people will pay 50% more, just to play through your site. And, what kind of garantee do they have? How can they be certain that you will do what you say you will?

We're talking about money here, and even possibly huge ammounts of money, do you think people will just put their trust on some webpage that says that will do something?

I know I would need a lot heck more garantee to do it. A lot more than just a simple page created with Frontpage 5.0, hosted by bravenet (free hoster!?) using a service (PayPal) which has lots of stories about lost money.....

First thing I am Paypal Verified. Second I do pay for service yes through bravenet but I am on a business Server which costs money hence no advertisements and so forth.

Don't take me wrong, I'm just asking the questions that most of your clients will ask!

Paypal verified might say something for some ebayers and tech geeks, but for the
general population it doesn't mean much!
You don't even supply a real address so that your potencial customers can check out who you are.....

So for most people you are just a virtual place! From your replies it seems that you want to get the numbers, write the tickets, go the reseller, make the bests, wait for the results, check the winners, communicate the winnings, pay the winnings.... by yourself, so you basically replacing the person's exact same work. However you don't explain what kind of controls, software, methods, people you use to perform this....

I am really glad you are expressing your views. This helps greatly to improve on the site and on my business. The major reason we have created this site is because there is alot of people that don't have the chance to play the Powerball because they live in stated which do not offer it. We offer the chance to these people the chance to be able to play it. There is a few other sites which offer this service too, but the charge $2.00 per line. We are offering our service at a much lower fee. Verified logo is up and running. A new page will be added shortly with address and contact information. Do you have any more opinions?

I'm glad that you are having the time to listen(read), that gives you some credit!

On the FAQ page that you seem to plan to create, you should explain everything you're planning to do....
  • What methods are you using!
  • What safety procedures do you have!
  • Who does what job, in your business!
  • If you start growing, get an external audit and display that!
  • etc..

You can perhaps add a few links to the powerball website and official results!

Overcharging 50% of the ticket price is illegal. LT needs to delete your illegal advertisement. The lottery agencies take a hard line against unlicensed money-makers that break the law and will probably try to lay charges. I read a recent article in which the lawbreaker was forced by a US court to refund all money collected and pay fines.

There have been many attempts to set up lottery pools for a fee (either overpriced ticket or percentage of winnings) here in Canada and the lottery corporations shut them down. You should talk to a laywer before you illegally re-sell tickets to naive lottery players (who should know better than to buy virtual tickets online).

See but I am not ever charging for the tickets. I am charging 1.00 which is the price of the ticket and .50 which is our service fee for providing the tickets to people who can't get them and to keep our site and everything up and running.

It;s the same as a scalper who sell a 50 dollar ticket for a hundred bucks, and includes a pencil . They claim the ticket still costs 50 bucks but they are selling the pencil for 50 dollars. I agree with powerball on this one.
Mind you I think scalping should be legal, they provide a service, if you don't like the service, don't use a scalper.

Though i agree with you guys that it should be illegal, i think it's perfectly legal in the US to provide this lotto service as long as you say that the extra charge is a FEE. As per the honesty and integerity of each company that provides this service i cannot comment on.
