hi blitzed,

I visited your site and found you have some picks for CA Daily Derby game, so wondering if you could add statistic for this game since there are NO other software on the market designed for this horse racing lotto game. May be you could add stat per position so we (Californian) could get some help in picking the right horse?

Thanks in advance,

hello da88, you play Daily Derby often? do you track past draws with a simple spreadsheet? some fancy lottery program really isn't necessary...it is just number distribution by position and probability.

I'm turned off because Daily Derby costs $2 and has higher odds than the $1 Daily 3. Take just the racetime which is essentially a pick3, if matched tonight they'd have paid out $50...a far cry from the Daily 3 midday at $640 for a straight and eve $480 tonight, waaay better payout...for beating the exact same 1 in 1,000 odds, and at $1 instead of $2.

Trifecta tonight woulda paid out $254 for beating 1in1,321 odds at $2. The gimmick of the Daily Derby is trying to capture the fun of betting on horse races...there is the longshot, the trifecta AND racetime for the grand prize, currently at $236k...but at 1 in 1,320,000 odds.

I'd rather play Fantasy 5 for $1 at 1 in 575,000 odds...someone won $111,723 tonight, on the 12th someone snatched $362,268 whew!

anyway, perhaps I can make a Daily Derby page sometimes just for kicks.

hi blitzed,

Thanks for indepth analyze of this game, the odds and prizes pay out kind of a turn off for sure. One thing I was thinking is progressive betting since there are NO double/triple, just forcus on Wins and everything else is just a bonus, still not sure I am on the right track....

Thanks again,

heyyya Da88,

true, one aspect of the Daily Derby is that ifya beat the 1 in 12 odds to guess the 1st horse, you earn $1, assuming of course you only made 1 pick heh!

let's see...you could do 12 picks with 1 to 12 down the 1st column...thenya would have a 1 in 12 shot at getting the 2nd horse in the right pick...but even then you'd only maybe break even.

to make it cheaper to play, I'd track number distribution, then only play 1/2 or 1/3 of the most likely horses to win in each slot...since doubles aren't allowed, that might thin out possibilities.

I'll tryta slap together a spreadsheet and see if I can figure anything out with past draws.

cheers!

Thanks blitzed,

last night I found out a program (lotto software) that can configure to accept the CA Derby game, only the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions. If you interest to test out this program please email me, I don't want to post the name of this program in public since I understand we cannot allow to do so(there's a 15 days trail to test it out).

Let see how we can turn this game in our favors.
